Hi, for anyone who does their own taxes, check on IRS.GOV to see if you qualify for the earned income tax credit . My refund went up quite a bit with my new little deduction.
I thought the child had to have lived with you for at least 6 months of the year to qualify for this credit. I'll have to look more into it b/c I thought I didn't qualify because LO had only lived for a month.
@chewie5990 that's what I thought when my son was born December 2012 and I had done my taxes myself. The following year I went to a tax person and she said I qualified for the EIC the previous year as well. She went and adjusted it for me, i got audited but still got the adjusted refund. I guess it doesn't matter for the year the baby is born as long as the baby lives with you.
Speaking of taxes, I am pretty sure you can write off (that may be the wrong term) anything that you purchased that has to do with nursing or pumping. Ask your accountant!

If you are itemizing then I would assume that your pump falls under medical supplies..I personally don't itemize
