Hello fellow October Mommies!
This might be really silly and old fashioned but I absolutely do not want my DH to know my weight. I am tall (almost 6ft), bigger built, and around a size 10/12, so I weight more than the average woman. I doubt my husband would care at all, but I really do not want him knowing. I don't want anyone knowing my weight, let alone my DH. I have a lot of anxiety about it. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can keep him from knowing how much I weigh? I know I could just ask him to not look, but I feel like he will!
Does anyone else have similar feelings to mine?
Thanks ladies!
Re: Weight at first US
I think if you mention to the OB staff that you don't want your husband knowing your weight, they won't announce it to him, and can simply talk in weight gained versus what is appropriate. Usually they weigh you straight off while getting your vitals, so you can ask your husband to wait in the lobby until after that's done.
I would encourage you to question why this is so important to you, and delve into whether this will affect the health of your pregnancy. For example, will you refuse to gain an appropriate amount of weight as determined by your doctor? If this is going to be an issue, I would suggest you seek counseling now rather than later.

You really put my mind at ease. I was starting to think that I was absolutely ridiculous for posting this and for being so self conscious. Thanks again! (:
