How are you pronouncing Veda? Vee-duh or Vay-duh like the actress from the movie My girl? If Vay-duh then I vote that, although I prefer the spelling Vada. Hazel is my second choice.
I love Veda but I'm on the fence about it with Lee. Love Isla but it's getting really popular and doesn't work with Lee. I think I would stick with Veda or use Cecilia.
I think Veda is really the only one that works with Lee as a MN. The others have "L" sounds at the end of or really close to the end of their names. Hazel Lee sounds like one long name (Hazelie) an the others have a Cecilia Lee and Isla Lee seem a but mushed together as well.
We pronounce Veda "vay-duh". It's actually a family name from DH's side, but it always makes me think (fondly) of the character from the movie My Girl.
Thumbs up to Bowie. We named our loss in November Bowie.
I vote Cecilia.
