Based on my lmp I am 5 weeks 0 days. On Monday I started very light spotting, only when I wiped and only maybe 30% of the time. I thought it stopped but then it happened a few more times on Tuesday. I went in to see my doctor and they were not able to see anything on an ultrasound. She said that its very early and that either im not 5 weeks along and its too early to see anything or I am 5 weeks along and the pregnancy is not developing and will likely end in a miscarriage. We wont know until I go back next week (or unless a miscarriage obviously happens). I know that everyone's experiences are different but I wanted to see if anyone has experienced anything similar. I really wouldn't be worried except for the doctor's comment that if I am 5 weeks than its not normal.
I remember you from TTGP but I can't remember if you were temping to confirm O. If not, maybe you O'd later than CD-14ish which would mean you can't really go off of LMP. Dating a pregnancy based on LMP is done with the assumption that you O'd around CD 14 which isn't always the case. Keeping my FX for you!

Hi! I am seeing an RE so I've already got 3 ultrasounds and am only 6 weeks, 1 day. My first was at 5 weeks exactly and they saw nothing but the gestational sac. Of course I freaked out too! I went back again at 5 weeks, 4 days and they saw the gestational sac and the yolk sac was beginning to develop. 5 weeks is way too early to see anything but the gestational sac. I totally understand how you feel, as I felt the same way! I attached my 5 week ultrasound. It's only a little circle! There really is nothing else to see. My cousin also sees a specialist and I called her freaking out and she saw the same at 5 weeks. I'm hoping this helps you!
It's normal not to see anything at 5 weeks and unless you know the exact date that you O'd (temping) then you might not be 5 weeks. Lmp is not the most accurate way to date a pregnacy so I wouldn't worry too much!

Try not to worry too much, like PPs said, there isn't much to see at 5 weeks. I'm keeping my FX for you though!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but yes, I have had a similar experience.
For me, it meant I had an ectopic pregnancy. That really sucked. Pay attention to any cramping and make sure to call your doctor if it gets severe. It took about a week to diagnose mine and it didn't REALLY get diagnosed until I was in surgery with abdominal bleeding.
Right around week 5 I had spotting pretty much all day one day. at first I thought it was implantation bleeding, but realized I was too far along for that. I was worried at the time, but I had no other issues and my most recent sonogram and blood work showed everything was normal & healthy.
Had the same thing happening spotting, plus not a whole lot to see on the ultrasound. Went for a second ultrasound and then saw baby with hb, the bleeding was caused by a sch.
I thought I was 7-8 weeks according to my last period, but when I went in for an ultrasound I was 5 weeks 6 days and it was very difficult for them to find the little one! If you are earlier than expected than I'm sure it would be pretty hard to find! I hope you can get a better shot next week!!
@MrsB627 the spotting completely stopped after my appt. My first HCG levels were in range and I should get my second set back tomorrow (stupid weekend ). Ill update tomorrow when I know but I defintely feel more at ease that everything is ok. Thanks for asking!

I hope it isn't the same thing- good luck.
Plus, a majority of symptoms do not truly begin until week 6 or 7 for most women.
