Brown discharge

Hi everyone! I'm 4w4d and have been having brown spottin since my bfp on Friday.. It's been fairly light but today when I got back from running errands my panties were pretty full of brown discharge.  Is anyone else having this? I'm pretty nervous, waiting to take a blood test now and will have another on Wednesday

    No advice, but FX for you!  Brown spotting means old blood, so hopefully it's leftover from implantation and nothing to worry about!

    Brown is usually old blood. Maybe from implantation. I bleed with all of my pregnancy's around the time of my first period. Stay calm and follow up with your Doctor.

    Worst case scenario, brown discharge could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. If I were you, I'd go ahead and call your doctor and ask to speak to the nurse about it. Better safe than sorry!

    Thank you all so much for your feedback! Just had some blood taken to check. Hoping its starts to lighten up! I'll try to stay calm and keep postive  :)

    I have had brown spotting from 4 weeks until now (7 weeks), off and on.  It has remained pretty light but it concerned me enough to call and ask to get my hcg levels checked.  They obliged, and my levels were great.  I had brown spotting around 5-7 weeks with my son and everything turned out fine, but it is also how my 6 week miscarriage began (a week of brown spotting that got heavier and turned to bleeding).  With my missed miscarriage I had no spotting at all, so you just never know.  I really hope everything goes well for you!

    I'm sorry you're going through this! It sucks. I had spotting with my first pregnancy, and it lasted until almost my 8th week. From what I remember the nurses were not that concerned as long as it wasn't red or flowing. Brown spotting wasn't too unusual. I hope you get some answers and peace of mind!

    I'm sorry you're going through this, I know how scary it is. I had some brown spotting as well and so far all is well with me. I just kept telling myself as long as it stays brown not to worry too much. Sometimes that helped, sometimes it didn't.
