A little late but he's here

Bo Geoffrey arrived at 9:31am on 2/4 weighing 6lbs 12oz and 19 3/4 inches long.

Original due date was 2/2, my OB had told me at 37 weeks he'd arrive before my due date and things continued to progress each week but no significant signs of labor so we scheduled an induction on 2/4. When we arrived I was already dilated to 6, they broke my water.

I let them know I planned on a epidural and the contractions became very intense right away. They started the epidural process and asked me if I felt any tingling in my bottom or legs. After realizing the epidural wasn't taking they gave me the option for a redo but after checking me it wasn't possible since I was now dilated to 9 and feeling I needed to push so they took it out and I began pushing. After about 4 min of pushing he was here.

I was was told for not planning on a med free delivery I did awesome and impressed the nurses with how well I handled it. My labor was only 2 hrs long.

I honestly can't believe I did it med free but it was a better experience than with my first in which I had a successful epidural. I felt great afterwards, sore but great.

Bo is continuing to do well and breastfeeds like a champ.
