I'm going to do this a bit backwards today...
Rave: We set up the crib yesterday! We disassembled the queen bed in the room & moved it out, & put the crib together. All without bickering! We had friends come over at night & they helped move the dresser into the room, as well. It feels so real seeing it all together.
Rant: (excuse the language)...it fucking happened. I caught whatever H had this week, & it is brutal. I feel like this is karma for me saying I didn't want to put up with his man-cold whininess, because it has hit me so hard. Thank God tomorrow is a holiday here so I can spend 2 days trying to get over this.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Probably nothing today. I may play around with our registry online, but that would be the extent of it.

Do you ladies have any tried & true remedies for an awful cold/flu while pregnant? I've got Vicks on & have taken Tylenol, & H is heading to the drug store to see if the pharmacist can recommend anything else, & to pick up some Halls.

We were supposed to go out for a fancy dinner to H's favourite restaurant tonight, but now we're rescheduling. My plans now include copious amounts of kleenex, blankets, pillows, & likely too much Netflix.

we figured out how to fit all three car seats in the back of the car! It will be tight, but should be comfortable enough. The biggest pain is getting my toddler into her seat in the middle when she is wiggling.
I made the the kids heart shaped pancakes this morning for breakfast and got each of them and dh a special chocolate that I'll give them a little later. I got dh a groupon for a massage because he has been complaining about wanting one lately.
No special plans, just the regular church. My 4 year old made me a valentine, and that will be my only one today I'm sure.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant is I'm already up at 7:30 and was also up from 12-5 because our smoke detectors kept randomly going off. Finally had to go to a 24/7 store and buy new batteries for all of 7 of them. Rave is at least I have tomorrow off to catch up on some sleep!
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
We are buying our mattress and curtains today. For the mattress, I still can't decide between the moonlight slumber little dreamer and the naturepedic! So I have to make my mind up.
Also, we received the Beaba Babycook yesterday which I'm excited to use. I was leaning towards the Sage Spoonfuls, but it was a gift so I can't complain! I just worry about BPS (BPA's evil twin).
Lastly, we checked out Land of Nod yesterday, but most prices were above my frugal taste!

What are you doing to prepare for baby? Went mini van shopping and decided on an Odyssey. Now to find a good one in our budget.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: Got a decent night's sleep! Rant: But woke up with a headache. Neutral: Went to our first gender reveal party last night for a friend. I found it really awkward. Even more so when the balloon pop revealed the opposite sex of what they were both wanting...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Going to my happy place aka JoAnns. I've given up on doing a non-gray nursery. You win, Pinterest nation. Blah.

Rant/symptoms- apparently I can't take my prenatal in the morning still. I feel asleep without taking it last night and then this morning about 10 minutes after I took it, it came back up! Drank water and threw up some more. I haven't had any nausea since like 13 weeks.

Rant: We're at my SIL and BILs house and I slept like crud...part couldn't get comfortable, part paranoid I wouldn't hear the kids...but either way got like 2 1/2 hours of sleep!
Rave: My niece and nephew are the cutest! And I love seeing my H interacting with them, he's going to be a great dad! (Sorry for the AW moment!)

nope. We're not big gift people, and with H's back being painful and awful, we're having a low key day.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Meh. My back and hips are really starting to bother me. Baby is moving around a ton now, mostly around 6-7ish at night and when I first wake up in the morning. Hopefully that means he already 'sleeps' through the night?
Tomorrow is a holiday and I don't have to work. H also is off so we have the whole day off together which rarely happens. Whoop.
GTKY: Are you doing anything for Valentine's Day? H works all day but I'm going to go get some steaks and make those tonight and a white chocolate, raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Then we'll probably just watch The Walking Dead. Nothing fancy.

Still dealing with this effing kidney stone. However, I think....maybe?....the worst is over and it's passed? The pain has receded immensely this morning and I'm able to get up and move around, so I'm hoping that's an indication that this mess is almost done.

Today, finishing the registry and H is shampooing the nursery carpets. Furniture comes tomorrow!!

Did have plans for a candlelight dinner at home, but this damn kidney stone has derailed that. So today is hanging at the house and baby prep.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave- my MIL is being awesome about not overstepping re the baby, at least not vocally which is awesome. Rant- its really damn cold and its supposed to snow tonight. Unless I'm skiing (which I can't do this year) I hate winter. Make it spring already. Symptoms- feeling pretty good, stomach muscles are starting to get tighter and RLP is starting up if I roll over weirdly.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Not much today, might start looking for a coming home outfit for the baby since a lot of their summer stuff is on super sale still.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave- I leave on Thursday for Florida for my baby shower and I'm so pumped!! Rant- It is SO windy here, my house is practically shaking. It kept waking me up throughout the night Symptoms- my hips are killing me. i feel like i've started to waddle - it is way too soon for me to be walking like a penguin.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Can't really do much else until my crib bedding gets here. I want to wait until I see it in person to pick out a wall color. Once I can do that though, I'm going to have the current furniture in there picked up and donated and then get to painting! Our nursery furniture was only ordered last week and takes 8-10 weeks so it will feel like forever until I can actually finish putting the room together.

@crdo I've heard a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar helps prevent stones check it out.

Are you doing anything for Valentine's Day? Yes! DH got us a reservation at our wedding reception venue for dinner tonight. Think fireplaces, a huge waterfall, and food. I'm so excited.
So that's my rant.
I'm 21 weeks 1 day and I bought some books for the baby and did some measurements for the furniture in the nursery.
My husband is working tonight. He made me lunch since I was so uncomfortable, but I made him cupcakes for Valentines day. We gave each other cards and candy. Tomorrow I have the day off and he has Mondays off, so we plan to go to dinner tomorrow.
Yours sounds pretty uncomfortable! Since yours is alleviated my a change in position and seems to be localized to the vaginal/lower pelvic area, maybe it is intense RLP?

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I am sick of moms judging other moms. The pettiness is unbelievable on some other forums. Also, I really hate the "You're not allowed to have concerns or feelings because other moms have worse issues" argument.
Symptoms: My back, butt bone and boobs hurt. And I'm not sure why, TMI, my nipples itch but they definitely do. Oh and heartburn is an ugly bitch that no one likes.
Rave: BF made me breakfast in bed this morning ^_^. And I swear, I die every time he talks to/kisses my bump.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Researching maternity leave/backup financial options since I'm only part time, researching epidurals, trying to exercise more, trying to hone in my inner domestic goddess and get the house clean lol
