I'm having a baby girl/Hydronephrosis concerns

So almost 2 weeks ago, we found out we get to meet little Arya Raine in June and we are ridiculously excited! :D

Until my OB laid it on us that our little bat has Hydronephrosis, which for those who don't know, is fluid in the kidneys. She referred us to a Natal unit at the hospital a week later and we found out that her kidneys are dilated. They gave us a handout that was explaining what Hydronephrosis is and that there's a tiny chance it could be a marker for Down's Syndrome. I got a blood test, find out the results this week, to see  if it's at all likely that she has Down's Syndrome. It's been worrying but we're trying to stay optimistic. However, both OB and Natal doc told us if it doesn't clear up on its own, she may need surgery after she's born. Did anyone else experience this with their LO?

    Two soft markers found in our little girl as well. Met with Maternal Fetal Medicine last week and they also recommended genetic screening via a non invasive blood test to check for chromosomal disorder. Waiting on results, ours will take 10 business days. She has bilateral clubfeet and a small cyst on her brain which leads to concerns of Edwards Syndrome aka Trisomy 18. The waiting is the worst part. I completely understand. I will keep you and LO in my thoughts. Keep us updated.

    Hoping and praying for good results for both of you. 
    DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI!
    Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!

    We have the same condition. Genetic screening was normal. Having a repeat ultrasound next week. It's usually an isolated finding. GL.

    Our little girl had two cysts on her brain at the scan. They did the genetic blood test and it all came back clear.
    I hope you get good results back. I hated waiting, it's so hard not to worry. Good thiughts for everyone still waiting!

    My baby girl has fluid in her kidneys also (.5) And she does have Down syndrome. HOWEVER, it is very very very common in healthy babies also. My nephew and many of my friends babies have also had the same condition and are completely healthy. The fluid on my baby's kidneys has been the least of our worries, especially since our high risk ob and Down syndrome specialist said that's it so common and highly unlikely it will turn into anything worse. It typically clears up on its own. The surgery after birth (if needed) is minor. 
    Praying that your results all come back normal, which they most likely will. If not, I'm right here to talk if you need to! Hugs, mama!

    Our daughter has fluid in her kidneys too. She also had a short nasal bone. The genetic counselor explained that the kidneys increased the risk of Down syndrome but only slightly. They couldn't give me the increased risk for the nasal bone so we had a genetic screen done and it came back clear. The fluid on the kidneys may resolve on its own or need treatment after birth which can be as simple as antibiotics or may need surgery. I go back for another u/s in 6 weeks to check on them. 

    Ill be be thinking of you and praying you get good results from your tests.

    We got test results today and the Verifi21 was negative for Trisomy 18, 13 and 21. I hope you get some good news soon as well. Trying to grow a tiny human is stressful. I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and sending my positive vibes your way!
