EPO

How soon after "inserting" evening primrose oil capsules did you go into labor.?
39 weeks and a day and I've got the Ok to try EPO.

Re: EPO

  • EPO isn't meant to induce labor. It's used to soften the cervix. People have used it for a few weeks with no baby, just like people have sex with no labor (semen has the same cervix-ripening properties).

    This.
  • I'm not looking to induce labor.
Just a question for those who have used EPO to soften cervix, general timing when they went I to labor. Thank you.
  • I have been using it since 36 weeks. I guess it did its job as my doc told me my cervix was very soft at 37 weeks... Or it's just a coincidence. I'm now 38w 4d and still no baby. A soft cervix isn't the only factor in when labor starts, it's just helpful. Hoping to see some action in my 39th week, but I'm also not holding my breath.
