Rants/raves/symptoms: Raves- I'm loving the movement! I wish it was more predictable and it seems like any time my hubby tries to feel her move she freezes, but while I'm at work she's a wiggle butt. Rants: I know it's people's way of showing they are interested but people asking me EVERY DAY how I'm feeling is getting old. I'm also ready to be done with the leg cramps. I normally can sleep through most of the night only waking up once to pee unless I get leg cramps, then I seem to wake up all the time, no matter how well hydrated I am.
Upcoming appointments: At the end of the month!!
Questions for the group: None that I can think of at the moment.
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? (Taken from Monday/Tuesday group) Ummmm I think I'm still just debating a lot between do I want to try unmedicated or am I just going to say yes to the epidural right away. The reason this is a big deal for me is I react badly to pretty much all pain medicine. Even over the counter medicine tends to make me feel sick- which makes me hesitant to consider an epidural.
Rants/raves/symptoms: My rant is that I'm co-chairing my son's school auction and I really just wish I could focus on the millions of house projects I want to get done before the babies (or before I get too big). It's a really fun event, but March 5th can't come soon enough (I wasn't pg w/twins yet when I said yes to the job!). Raves: love all the kicks! Love looking through baby stuff.
Upcoming appointments: It was a big week. I had a Dr's appt. on Monday with a new OB I'm switching to, on Tues. we went on the hospital tour (it's been renovated since my last baby), and on Wed. I had my monthly sonogram. The boys have peach fuzz on their heads. They're looking perfect. The hospital improvements look great.
Questions for the group:
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? I'm not really worrying about it too much, but it seems like there are so many unknowns with a twin delivery. I'm pretty sure that if baby A is head down I'll go ahead and try to deliver them vaginally. Hopefully baby B will end up in the right position. I didn't have an epidural with my first two babies but I'm leaning towards getting one this time. I don't really want a shot in my spine! Maybe it's better to have it in place though in case I need a C-section?? need to ask the OB. They will induce by 38 weeks so late April seems a lot closer than May!
Rants/raves/symptoms: Hip/thigh pain at night, back and hip pain. But overall, feeling pretty good. I'm excited for our showers so we can start getting her nursery more ready.
Upcoming appointments: We have weekly fetal cardiology appointments on Friday's from now until she's born due to her heart arrhythmia just to make sure it stays the same. Our next OB appointment is on 3/5 then it's on to bi-weekly.
Questions for the group: Nada
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? (Taken from Monday/Tuesday group): I guess really just the pain since I'm a FTM and don't know what to expect. But I'm not going to get worked up about it right now.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I've been feeling much more tired the last few days. Just a few weeks ago I felt like I had all kinds of energy again.
Upcoming appointments: I have on one wed.
Questions for the group: None this week.
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? (Taken from Monday/Tuesday group) I'm honestly not sure about this one. I'm afraid of complications, or emergency situations but they are things you typically can't plan for.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I've been sick with sinus BS for the past week or so and am not a happy camper at this point so that is my rant; hopefully it'll leave shortly as it has overstayed it's welcome.
Upcoming appointments: Next Friday, 19th, I see my doctor again - biweekly appointments now!
Questions for the group: I'm super afraid of pushing a watermelon out of my whoha and yet having a C-section and it's recovery are just as scary. Any advise from you STM's can give to calm this girl down?
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? (Taken from Monday/Tuesday group) See above!
@amovin21 - you have every right to be scared! I've already done it twice and I still think: how can my body do that and how can things down there ever be normal again?!! My deliveries were fine though. My first was a looong labor (induction) and I had to push a really long time; my 2nd was super fast. Both times though I was never that 'tender' down there. I never had to sit on a bopppy or anything like that (no major tearing). After my 2nd I remember the nurses making me go to the bathroom an hour after giving birth (I didn't have an epidural) and thinking: I can't believe I just pushed a baby out! I feel great! So.........I guess try not to worry too much. Women do this all the time for years and years. PS - My husband wants nothing more than to NOT see what's happening down there (during the birth). lol.
@mrstmoose - Sorry to hear about your baby's heart arrhythmia. What all is involved when she's born?
@mcb2016 - I agree. I felt very energetic a few weeks ago and now I'm dragging. My iron levels are dropping though. I'm sure that has something to do with it.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Rants: Needle day Monday- DTAP & 3 hour GD test, really nervous, hope I pass. Raves: putting my hands on my belly and feeling baby move under the surface. Symptoms: a lot more hip pain at night even though I'm sleeping with a snoogle..
Upcoming appointments: 3 hour GD test Monday, OB appt. 2/23 (just had one Tues.)
Questions for the group: When should I start taking some of the baby toys out of the packages? Most of the things I've gotten I haven't taken out of the packaging or taken tags off b/c I feel like I'm jinxing stuff. I know I'll probably leave almost all the tags on the clothes except for a few that I prewash for the baby due to fit/sizing being unknown.
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? (Taken from Monday/Tuesday group) The IV, epidural (if I do it), tearing and a long labor are my fears. I'm going to go in expecting the worst, so hopefully it might be a smidge better than my expectations. I'm trying not to get too set on what's going to happen and keep in mind the pros & cons of some of the different ways it can go..
Rants/raves/symptoms: I am struggling with insomnia lately so it's been hard making it through the day. I hate being exhausted and not being able to function normally. I hope it goes away soon.
Upcoming appointments: I have my 27 week appointment next week and the glucose test after.
Questions for the group: Anyone else nesting like crazy? I almost feel like a crazy woman trying to get things done...maybe that's why I can't sleep lol?!!
GTKY: What is the biggest fear you are overcoming about labor/becoming a parent/STM+? (Taken from Monday/Tuesday group): I plan to attempt a natural delivery this time but I'm not sure I can do it if I'm induced which is likely. I was induced (with epidural) both times and although it went well, I want to experience a natural birth. No one thinks I can do it which is making me more determined! I guess I'm scared that if I do things differently something may go wrong.
