Underwear?

OMG ladies. My belly this whole time has been super low and it hasn't been much of an issue until the last few days. Recently my underwear have started rolling down into a wad under my belly... and this is compounded with the fact that the maternity jeans I am wearing have a seam right there at the bottom of my belly too. Sitting down at work is practically unbearable just because of the pressure from all that fabric. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there maternity underwear out there that don't do that? That maybe are super low riders or something?? Would the super high granny panty underwear help? Any suggestions appreciated. I am counting down the minutes and seconds until I can leave work and wear nothing but my sweatpants!!

Re: Underwear?

  • I carry low too -- I'm a fan of barely there thongs, or lace-waisted underwear  (vs makes cotton low-rise ones in different cuts that work well). Maternity underwear exists, but I haven't tried it; I know some people love it.

  • I was having the same issue, tried big ol' granny panties and those were just as bad so I ordered these from motherhood and I love them. $15 for a 3 pack and they're buy one get one 1/2 off right now - you won't regret it!

  • Victoria Secret's lacey thongs work best for me. I stocked up at their last sale.

I second this - these things made a huuuuuuge difference for me.

  • I second the Victoria's Secret lace waist panties, in whatever style you prefer. I'm a fan of the hipster. I carried super low with my first and those panties saved me!

  • I liked the Motherhood underwear for my first pregnancy, but this time they roll under just like my other underwear. They also don't have enough butt coverage for me and I get really bad wedgies. I have some underwear that are really silky and thin and those seem to be the best. They still roll down, but there isn't enough fabric to bunch up and be annoying.

  • Lacey thongs from target!
  • Thanks ladies! I'm going to have to go underwear shopping I guess. One of those weird things you certainly don't think about pre-pregnancy!
  • I've bought the maternity underwear and don't really see a huge difference. Mine are still rolling but are not super uncomfortable. I've been wearing the VS cheeksters that have the lacy top so they aren't as figure hugging.
