Hmmm the past week or so I keep feeling what seems like occasional muscle spasm/twitch in my lower abdomen like I've never felt before. I kept assuming it was maybe the round ligaments spazzing out since it seems to either be on the left or the right but never in the middle. Now I'm wonder if it's really babbbyyyy.
This thread makes me depressed I'll be back maybe in late third tri when and if I ever feel this kid.
I'm right there with you lady. I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow and there are times when I "think" I'll feel something but it could also very well be gas. Nothing definitive for me either. My mom said with me she didn't feel me move until like 25 weeks!!
I started feeling the little flutters that may or may not have been baby a couple of weeks ago, but this week I've felt the definite kicks. No movement on the outside yet, but I don't expect that for a while. I get so sick while pregnant. Movement is pretty much the only thing I enjoy about being pregnant, and what really helps me bond with the baby so I'm glad I'm feeling it now! I feel it maybe once or twice a day
I'm almost 16 weeks and have been feeling it off and on the last couple of weeks. The last couple of days have been the strongest. Actually starting to feel small kicks every now and then. My doctor told me at my last appointment (12 weeks) he expected me to start feeling them soon because apparently my little girl is "quite the kicker and mover" and have been told numerous times after ultrasounds "you need to brace yourself when you start feeling these kicks" and her legs are super long. (No surprise since DH and I both are tall and long legged) So I'm not sure if that's why I'm feeling them so strong already or what but it's possible! Not feeling it on the outside yet. I do not expect that for awhile.

Same for me. 18 weeks tomorrow and nothing that feels definitively like a baby...

I'm 16 weeks and a couple days and I'm definitely feeling the baby moving around. It started a week ago with just a couple soft kicks. Now, I can feel him curl up and move to different spots in my pelvic area. I don't remember this happening until way later with my first. I love poking him and trying to get him to move around.
Quick question I am going to the doctor today but just driving me crazy I have been feeling movement for a while now I'm 18+2 and for the past few day I have not felt anything I think I did once but that is it is it normal?

I had this happen this past week. Baby went from me feeling everything to really having to stop and pay close attention to movements. I believe it just means babe might have moved further back and isn't up front where he/she normally was. Also, baby is only 5-6inches right now and he/she has a lot of appartment space. I wouldn't worry.

Yeah completely normal. Yesterday my doc said they don't even start kick counts until 28 weeks. It is completely normal to go days without feeling a thing. I experienced the same thing - feeling movement and then nothing for a couple days. Now I feel movement again! But exactly, the baby is so small and has a lot of room to move around without hitting the edges where you can feel it.
I finally starting feeling little flutters and bubbles this week at 17 weeks! It mostly happens when I'm sitting and even when leaning over. I've felt it a few times lying down but not as much as when I'm sitting. And more so in the morning than night. So I seem to be the opposite of what some PP said, haha.
I had been feeling like one muscle spasm feeling a week for like three weeks now. I guess that's flutters. Yesterday I woke up at 4 PM and got about six kicks (way stronger and more obvious than before) then I got one or two an hour until about midnight last night, it was so wild. So incredible. Apparently baby is a night owl like its nightshift working mother
I have heard that when you're up and about walking or working, you're basically rocking the baby to sleep so it doesn't move as much. That's why it tends to "wake up" more when you're lying still or sleeping. Don't know how true it is but it makes sense to me!
Can't wait to feel some baby movement I thought I felt baby move last week but nothing since then so it was probably just gas.
Eeeeek!! I finally starting feeling little movements and mostly when I'm standing vs sitting. At first I thought they were gas bubbles but I'm sure that they're not. 19 weeks to finally feel something.
19+2 and haven't felt anything. At least I don't think it's been baby. FTM though so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for. I always assume anything I feel is gas.
I'm 19 and 4 nothing yet but the anterior placenta thing helping me relax about it and seeing how active she was at the u/s I know it will just take time
I can feel them better when I'm wearing my maternity jeans with the thick band that goes over my belly, reasoning I'm guessing as it pulls my belly in a bit so I can feel it a tad easier.
I think I felt the baby at 19 weeks! It was like five little flutters in a row on one side of my belly. This has been quite the day. First we found out the sex now this!
I felt ours for the first time at 15+6, then nothing until 2 weeks later. Now at 19+4 it's a pretty regular occurrence. I've noticed I feel baby more on days when I've had caffeine, or when I work since I'm sitting for long periods of time. I'm also getting to the point where I have to shift my weight when baby's sitting funny, like he or she has been all day today

I felt the exact same way. The tiny little movements I thought were gas as well, until nothing came of them and they continued to take place. Small, little air bubbles is what it feels like to me. No actual "kicks" just yet though, only a small little rustling in there.
I feel that around 20 weeks you should start to feel something. Agree with pp walking around is rocking the baby. I'm laying down right now and he's not pleased.
I finally felt something too, at 19+1. There was definitely a somersault (strangest feeling ever). I've also had a few times now where I thought I had gas and either A) realized that no gas ever happened or the place where I thought I felt gas no longer has intestines/etc there - it's all uterus. So hooray!

I've had flutters for a few weeks now, and some little tapping kicks that I can feel from the outside. But yesterday I was sitting on my computer and it felt suspiciously like the baby punched me from the inside. It was a very startling experience. But pretty cool.
I've been feeling flutters every once in a while for about two weeks or so. Friday night I thought I was having muscle spasms but I think I was being kicked by Baby J! It happened a bunch that night and then not much yesterday, just more flutters. Hopefully I can start feeling more as the week goes on!
I've started feeling little flutters as of 18+1 or so...it sort of feels like gas and sort of feels like someone is tickling me gently. Nothing has been really strong yet but it's definitely noticeable. I can't wait til it gets stronger and DH can feel it too.
Stm 19+ 2 today. I've been feeling a lot of movement over the last week. Last night was laying in bed and felt a complete shift where a head or butt was sticking out a bit for a min low and to the right then it went back in! Love it!
I am 19w3d and have been feeling tons of movement! I was really lucky to feel it pretty early in my pregnancy (ftm) but lately it's so strong. DH actually felt a couple of huge kicks today for the first time ! Sooo cool!
@sboston06 Sorry for the late reply, haven't been following this thread as I'm a late July EDD and I'm pretty sure the only kicks I feel are imaginary. Anyway, yes, I definitely believe babies kick more at night because your body's movement rocks them to sleep. A lot of babies are born with days and nights reversed where baby sleeps a lot more during the daytime initially. This was true for DD and many friends' babies and that is why our pediatrician said that is.
Im laying down on my couch and I felt him moving around a lot. I was able to feel it with my hand and everytime he kicked me, I poked back, so he would kick again. It was like that for a few minutes and it was such a surreal feeling. Hopefully it will happen again soon when DH is around.
I've been feeling little flutters every now and then for the past 2 weeks or so but DH finally felt baby "rolling" the other day. That was exciting I'm 17+3
With my first, I didn't feel any flutters or anything until 19 weeks...but it was crazy how like 2 weeks after that they were real kicks you could feel from the outside. Now with baby #2, I felt flutters at 17 weeks and now at 19 it is stronger- almost like a kick. So funny how different subsequent pregnancies can be in that way! I'm like "baby is the same size he was at 19 weeks- why does it feel stronger already?!"
I'm 19 and 2 days and DH was able to feel the baby kick. It makes it more real for him. I think I was at least 22 weeks when he could feel DD, so we were surprised this time.
