Frustrated!

I've been having contractions for a month now and very frequently they last a minute and are about 5 minutes apart. I haven't gone to the hospital because of how mild they are even though my OB's nurse keeps insisting I should go. Last night, we went to a friend's house for dinner and while there the contractions went from 5 minutes apart to 3.5 minutes apart lasting around a minute each this lasted an hour. We decided that we'd go to the hospital after we ate. During the 20 minutes it took for me to eat they went from 3.5 to 5 to 10 minutes apart. I really thought I was going to get to meet my boy last night or today. Monday can't come fast enough.

Same boat- tons of contractions, last night I started getting some twinges of pain with them and I'm like- alright!! Let's get some pain going!! But then it stopped. Hang in there momma you are almost done!!

We're inducing Monday if he's not here by then. I'm just so tired of hurting constantly. I have an appointment with the OB in an hour and she's going to sweep my membranes if I'm dilated enough. Fingers crossed. I know we're all miserable.

I really was expecting this pregnancy to be like my last. The only symptom I had was an aversion to turkey. My water broke in the middle of the night and when the contractions started, they weren't comparable to period cramps I had in high school. It was soooo easy. That's what I thought I would get with this one, but I guess being double the age from when I had my last one would make sense that this one would be harder.

I'm in the same boat! My contractions were so bad, I could barely sleep! But I know they aren't bad enough to be in labor. I'm due Saturday and I'm just hoping little miss comes soon. My back and hips feel like they are being stomped on.

Hugs!! That sounds very frustrating. I thought I was going into labor twice but nope. I'm SO over being pregnant. Wishing you the best and sending lots of labor vibes your way!

I've had a ton of BHs for a long time, and I told my MW yesterday that it's frustrating, because you never know when it will turn into something or just continue to be an obnoxious nuisance. Hopefully your little one will decide it's right time to come out before Monday!

Best of luck! Hopefully your boy comes before Monday! I'm also getting induced on Monday morning if my baby hasn't arrived. Right now I'm waiting for a call from my OB's office...at my appointment yesterday, they wanted me to schedule an amniotic fluid ultrasound through the hospital and an NST through their office for Friday. My insurance, which I pay a lot of money for (which I'm sure most of us do), won't cover the ultrasound. Apparently, I have to go to a "free standing" place, and I doubt they would have any openings this late in the game. Argh! I took an extra walk around the neighborhood this morning in hopes that he will come before Friday, and I won't have to worry about any of that. I don't think that's going to happen...

Girl, I feel you! I'm in the same boat! It's driving me nuts! I'm only 39 weeks on this Friday so we haven't even talked about induction yet, although I do want to bring it up on Friday at my appt. it's so exhausting! There have been so many times I thought I'd be holding my boy by the end of the day, but still nope. Lately he's been doing the really cool thing where he kicks off of my ribs and headbutts my cervix. So not cool dude.

@paytonpedro He's been measuring 3 weeks ahead for several months and that's the only reason they gave me the option. Mine's been out of room to do the simultaneous rib/crotch kicking. He occasionally sticks a foot in my ribs, but most of the time he's just sticking his butt out my side. Thanks for the luck, I'm pretty nervous about it. I just told a granola friend of mine and, of course, she had to give me shade about it.

I am completely sympathetic ladies - I had a fun 7 + hours of constant contractions that didn't feel like previous braxton hicks yet never turned into labor this week.... SO frustrating, because I had already experienced this several times before, and got zero progress (baby dropping, dilation, effacing, etc) out of it. If I go to my doctor tomorrow and get the same report, I might lose it.

Mine dropped 3 weeks ago and all it's done is increase pressure on my cervix. Grrrr

I'm in the exact same boat! Been dealing with this crap over a month then nothing! 40+6 today and being induced Saturday. The crap of it all is I had 2 kids with zero contractions the entire pregnancy who were both born after my water broke at 39+2 so this has been such a mind eff. Law of averages I guess.

Hmmm sorry

I get a lot of BHs that are pretty painful and then sometimes I get menstrual cramping. If and when those couple together than I'm assuming I'm in labor as my history dictates. Hang in there, what's your DD?

Ugh up until 2am last night from contractions that were 5 minutes apart so I finally got up and decided maybe I should go to L&D then after walking around for ten mins they suddenly stopped, wtf? Now this morning starting again

@mamacastro that's the exact opposite for me. As soon as my feet hit the floor, they start up, but when I lay down they do away.

Ugh. I'm frustrated too. Woke up to contractions ten minutes apart then the stupid things stopped. So I guess they weren't contractions but they certainly felt like it.

Oh girl, I feel ya! I haven't been having the contractions like that but just crazy crazy pressure. So uncomfortable. I hope baby comes this weekend to give you some relief, or you have less contractions for a restful weekend before your induction @DrillSergeantCat

Membranes - swept. I'm dilated to a full 3.
Chiropractor - adjusted
Spicy foods - eaten
Walk - painfully taken
Contractions: nightly, 10 minutes apart. Stops after a couple of hours

I'M SO DONE.

For those waiting.... I had my membranes swept yesterday and then I laid on the couch and had my husband run these trigger points. Can't hurt... right?!?

Lost a good chunk of my mucus plug tonight. If this labor goes anything like my last, he'll come on his own this weekend. Thank you all for listening and commiserating. Fingers crossed that all of us are close.

No update yet. Lost more mucus plug and have been having some serious lower back cramps, but he's still in there.
