Re: weekly health & fitness check-in (2/8)
Fitness goal? Just continue working out 5 days a week. I would like to start yoga back up too. Hows everyone feel about ab exercises while pregnant? I've still continued to do them since my body is use to them but I know it can be controversial.
Health goal? Thankfully I haven't been craving anything so im sticking to my general routine of eating healthy.
Challenges you’re facing this week? None that I can think of!
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? Named off of a character on the North and the South movie.
Fitness goal? 10,000 steps 6 days this week, yoga 3x, kickboxing
Health goal? Drink 100 ounces of water a day and sleep more
Challenges you’re facing this week? As exhausted as I am, I haven't been sleeping well or enough so I need to slow down in the evenings and go to bed earlier.
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? My mom, her middle name is my first name
Health Goal: I don't rely have any. I started this pregnancy at a higher weight than I wanted to. (I gained 15 pounds in 4 months from stress eating)so I guess not stress eating will be my goal.
Challenges I'm facing this week: None really. I just have a realy busy week ahead and need to keep focused on making sure I exercise.
GTKY, we're you named after anyone? nope
@fitlady21 I do ab exercises until they feel uncomfortable. I do tend to stay away from crunches and the like but anything else as long as it feels good I do it. I would ask your Dr. though.
Fitness goal? Workout 4x this week.
Health goal? Don't eat like a pig.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Wanting to eat like a pig all the damn time.
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? Nope. My parents just liked my name.

Fitness goal? Brisk walk at least 4x this week (taking it easier b/c of past loss...need to talk to doc about other exercise)
Health goal? Stop overeating! I keep stuffing my face....grateful for no morning sickness, but GEEZ. I don't need to gain all 25-35 lbs in the first tri!
Challenges you’re facing this week? Exhaustion!!! Super busy work schedule.
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? My grandma.

Fitness goal? Work out at the gym on Wednesday and get to at least 80,000 for the week.
Health goal? Eat some vegetables at some point? Why oh why is this my food aversion this pregnancy? sigh.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Fatigue and morning sickness
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? Not really, my mother just really liked the name Mary.
My grandmother is named Gladys Mary so maybe her?
Fitness goal? Maintain the 20,000 steps a day I was doing before I found out I was pregnant. Since I found out, I have been doing less than 10,000/day. Just so happens I have been off work for a while, so I have not been working. And stopped wearing my FitBit. Going to start again this week and am back to working.
Health goal? Stop eating junk and eat some veggies. I love veggies but they are not appetizing to me right now. At all.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Exhaustion and eating like a pig.
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? No. They thought I was a boy and were going to name me Shane. 11 months later they had a Shane.
Health goal: Eat! Also I should find something in the fruit sections that I can handle.
Chllanges: I haven't been able to eat or move much since Saturday, whats up morning sickness!
BFP: February 2016 EDD: October 17, 2016
Health goal? Focus on veggies, and slow my role on the late night snacking
Challenges you're facing this week? I way overdid it the other day doing kettlebell squats and seriously can't walk, go up/down stairs, or sit on the toilet without massive amounts of pain. I skipped spin class Sunday bc of it, but going to try tomorrow. I've been foam rolling like crazy to try to help the healing along. Won't be doing that again.
Forgot the GTKY: I wasn't really named after anyone, but my middle name was after a family friend.
Health goal: limit cravings to 1 cheat day a week. Kept to that one last week.
Challenges you're facing this week: my nausea is making working out a struggle as it hits hard in the morning and late afternoon
GTKY: I was named after a combination of my aunt and my mom's college roommate.

Health goal? Uh... Quit eating the cookies my stepmom brought over...
Challenges you’re facing this week? A teething 10 month old...
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? A great Aunt
Fitness goal? I was supposed to start my second round of the 21 Day Fix yesterday but we just had too much tempting food left over from our small super bowl party, so we decided to push it back to Wednesday. I'm hoping to make it to the gym today to jog or at least walk on an incline. If I get abs done, I'll consider it a success. From here on out, hoping to find 30 minutes each day for my workouts. My pre-pregnancy weight is not ideal so I need to be mindful of diet and exercise. //end diary entry//
Health goal? Well, I need to stop pigging out on our leftover superbowl food. Then it's just portion control, as usual
Challenges you’re facing this week? No real challenges (at least nothing different from other weeks)
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? I was named after a Beatles song, which I guess Paul McCartney actually wrote about Linda

I have kind of a complicated questions related to health/fitness.
So prior to getting this BFP, I was doing myfitnesspal to try and lose about 5lbs that I gained over the holidays. I was eating 1300 calories a day and was losing weight at a rate of .5lbs/week. (and that was pretty accurate). I read that during the first tri, you don't need to increase your calories above what your body normally needs. My problem is....what is a "normal" amount for my body? I'm 5'4'' and about 124-125. I've been shooting for about 1600-1700 calories per day. No heavy exercise (just walking 30min/day). Thoughts?

Health goal? Hit my macros consistently all week, and don't obsess over them while out with my friends for marathon weekend
Challenges you’re facing this week? Fatigue is kicking my butt so getting to the gym has been a challenge
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? Nope.
That way once I was on maintain weight I could add the extra calories I needed.

Fitness goal? I'd like to try to stick with spinning 2 days a weeks, and elliptical and strength the other 2 days, for the duration.
Health goal? keep the weight gain to a bare minimum. I herniated a disc in my back 3 months ago. And now I'm terrified of the possible strain I could put on it after putting on weight over the next 9 months.
Challenges you’re facing this week? exhaustion and pure lack of motivation to get into the gym.
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? Nope.
Fitness goal? Keep taking brisk walks; wasn't much of an exerciser before pregnancy, (did Body Pump 1x a week, that's about it)
Health goal? Try and eat more vegetables somehow (been majorly slacking on veggie intake--Chipotle helps!)
Challenges you’re facing this week? Morning sickness and food aversions/cravings; can't meal plan, just have to wait until I'm hungry to figure out what I want to eat.
GTKY: Were you named after anyone? No. I was going to be named Sarah, but my grandfather (you'd just have to now him) told my mom he liked Kelli better, so it stuck.
