Off Feeling?

Been having some symptoms on and off nothing too severe and not really any today. Just hit 6 weeks today. I don't know why I just feel like something is not right. I have no reason to believe anything isn't besides my symptoms not being consistent. Anyone else ever feel this way? I am so scared of having a missed miscarriage and every time I don't feel a symptom it worries me. Like I said I have no other reason to believe anything is wrong, I have had no spotting thus far. I tried talking to DH about it but he really doesn't understand what I am saying so I figured I would try on here. Anyone else feeling this way? Thanks in advance for your responses!

Re: Off Feeling?

  • Maybe just some 1st trimester paranoia? (Not to say that you're a paranoid person!) But maybe some early jitters? I understand the feeling you're describing. Everything is so touch-and-go during the 1st trimester that it's difficult not to worry or tap into those kinds of feelings. If you can't seem to shake this feeling, tune into your body for anything that might be off.  ::knock wood:: But you aren't having any concrete symptoms that would suggest an otherwise healthy pregnancy so I say sit back, relax and breathe, girl, breathe.

It's still early. Most symptoms don't start appearing until 6 weeks. They might hit you like a ton of bricks in the coming weeks. Try to relax and don't borrow trouble. FWIW, I didn't have an ounce of morning sickness and I had very few other symptoms when I was pregnant with DS.

  • @Michi1382 I do tend to be a worrisome and worse case scenario person, so this probably just amped it up. I just have to remember to relax it is hard to forget sometimes. Just nice to know someone can relate to the feeling and I am not crazy.

@peggyolsonftw I know it's still early and symptoms don't usually start until 6 weeks, guess it just threw me off because I had sore boobs and a lot more fatigue the first week and a half and now it is tapering off. Thanks for sharing you past experience being pregnant and having little to no symptoms that does make me feel a little bit better.

    Thank you ladies!

  • My symptoms have been shifting and changing continually.  I haven't really had any nausea either.  Maybe your body is just getting used to the hormones, or you're just getting used to your symptoms?  Sometimes I do think it's weird that I feel totally normal, but that doesn't mean anything is wrong.  I think the main problem here is anxiety, and I can definitely relate to that.  It's so hard to feel that you want your baby to be okay so bad and there's nothing you can do about it.   But worrying about it won't make anything more or less likely to happen.  All you can do is take care of yourself, relax, do something fun, and try to relax any way that works for you. And I hate to say it, but sometimes taking a break from the bump and Google is very necessary.  It just brings up a lot of worst case scenarios.

  • I had no symptoms pretty much at all with DD until the 3rd trimester, and she came out healthy. Even knowing that, I'm worried this time around without any symptoms. I think it's normal to worry, but trust your instinct if you truly feel something is "off."
  • @Blonde1817 I have definitely fell down that Google hole and I feel like that is probably where some of the anxiety is coming from because even though it upset me I just have to look.

@jamiek1882 good to hear you had a healthy pregnancy and baby without any symptoms until later. I am sure I am just freaking out for nothing and just had a good symptom free day. As I said I definitely used google way too much in the last week so that probably isn't helping.

  • I haven't really had a lot of symptoms either except fatigue. My boobs aren't really sore anymore so there are definitely some changes going on. Hang in there, girl!
