CELLULITE

Dear God, I have it all over my legs and butt.. and really bad too. Where does this come from? How can I get rid of it? Anyone else get major cellulite around this time? I never had it pre-pregnancy. Please tell me there's a solution or it goes away. :(

Re: CELLULITE

  • Cellulite can be greatly minimized with diet changes and extra water consumption but most changes will probably come after pregnancy when your weight drops. Dry brushing is great also - read up on that technique for sure. Don't get down on yourself about it! Most women have it and it becomes more apparent as we gain weight (including water weight) during pregnancy.

  • I also have cellulite on my legs and butt that I've never had before. Pretty sure there's not much we can do now (but pray)...
  • @ladysamlady I'm afraid all the praying in the world will not get rid of this amount of cellulite.

@txmamatobe Thank you. I sure hope so because this is awful. I need to start watching my diet better anyway so now is a good time I suppose!

  • Yeah I just noticed some cellulite on the front of my thighs and hips. Its all apart of the pregnancy experience! LOL
  • I get cellulite when I put on very fast weight,  I've been managing mine by targeting the problem areas with weight training at the gym.  I get mine on my butt and upper thighs so I do  the weight machines that target those areas- it's definitely been helping
  • Yep, mine is out of control when I'm pregnant.  Other PPs gave great advice.  And even if you do nothing about it, you'll probably notice some improvement by the time you're a few weeks postpartum.
  • I agree, mine gets worse on my butt and upper thighs while pregnant, then more or less goes away afterwards. A lot of it has to do with water retention.
  • I wish I knew what life without cellulite was like. I haven't noticed a difference since being pregnant. Knock on all of the wood.
  • I've got it on my upper legs right now, mostly above my knees. I didn't get that with My first baby, so I'm a little terrified. I'm hoping it will go away after delivery. Or at least a few months after delivery.
  • I have also noticed this! I have been continuing workouts and do not feel like I have gained too much too quickly at all. I've always been very active so it's hard for me to see some of these changes like the cellulite accumulating.
  • I get terrible cellulite while I'm pregnant, but I know from experience it's because I'm slacking on my eating and working out right now. So I just cover it up and know that once I get back to "normal" I'll work hard and it will go away!
