My LO just turned 3 months and I put him in it for a few minutes the other for the first time. Obviously he is too young to jump but he likes to look at the lights and bat at the toys. I put a folded up swaddle blanket in front of him so he is a little more snug. I also put a pillow on the floor underneath him so he touches the ground. As long as LO can hold their head up pretty well I don't see why you can't put them in it for a few minutes.
We bought the Baby Einstein neighborhood jumper after returning the ergo three in one- it was very cheap - I.e. The playmat was a joke. We've had it since last week but are building it tonight. I think I'm going to slowly introduce her a few minutes at a time so when in a couple weeks she's able to use it (somewhat) independently it's not an overstimulated- 'oh dear God, there's so much' moment. Some of these jumpers have SO much stuff- maybe that's where ADHD/ADD really originate from
im tempted to just get a simple doorway one if she likes the jumping aspect.
What bouncers/jumpers do you all recommend for small spaces? Besides the doorway one...not a possibility for me. My LO loves to kick her legs and bounce up and down on my lap but also like OP didn't know when was a good time to buy one and/or let her use one!

We have to fisher price rainforest jumperoo. My DD loved it and my other LO starting to get into it.

We have this one too and DS loved it. We have not tried this LO in it yet. I would not consider it good for small spaces, it has a pretty large footprint.

Yea it does take up a lot of room. I would recommend going to the store and testing them out. Some don't bounce as easily. I went with the fisher price rainforest bc it has spinners, lights up, plays music, etc.
We tried just before 2 months, she holds her head so well, with a little pillow under her feet. We secured a blanket around her torso, and we always were next to her for only a few minutes, we got smiles, giggles and some bouncing. But we only do it when she is well rested, awake and playful.
We bought a regular hang in the doorway jolly jumper yesterday. Arlo was content for half an hour while we sat next to him and helped him get used to the jumping

ROFL. I love his face in this pic. It's just like "What in the heck are these people doing to me?!"
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.
Started at 11/12wks , just padded around him. My LO is always kicking so decided to try it. He is liking it more and more. When he moves it plays music! He doesn't really jump yet though. But what I really like is that his brothers can't get him out of it and it frees up my hands
