It's checkin time... I hope that you weren't badly affected by this crazy winter storm. DH and I bunkered down, ate like kings, and watched an amazing amount of TV. What did you do?
Still just waiting for our second urology appointment in Early March.
DH is still seeing the Doctor of Chinese medicine and loving it. He's lost 8 lbs and just overall is feeling better. So whether it is in his head, or if its actually helping fertility wise. He is happy about it and that is what matters.
We can make another appointment with the RE for March as well. They wanted us to try another 3 months unmedicated and then go from there.
We are officially back in the game (We were mentally taking a month off) and I am feeling rejuvenated. It really helped.
QOTW: Oh when I think I'm right, I do not hesitate to speak up.
Nothing new to report. Currently in the TWW. 11 DPO and a bfn this morning

Currently in the waiting to ovulate phase... Whether I'll actually ovulate this month I don't know... I suck at waiting. DH is waiting on the results of his SA, he is feeling nervous. I'm waiting to hear from the ultrasound clinic so we can check that off the list and hopefully get in with the specialist somewhat soon.
Tough qotw this week. It really depends on the topic. Usually I'll speak up, but sometimes it's just so much easier to tune people out (whether you're right or not). Something being a nurse has taught me is people tend to believe what they want to regardless of facts or logic.

Hi, all! I finished the Femara (CD3-7) on Thursday. I have the CD12 ultrasound tomorrow morning. I've had a lower backache/cramping since yesterday. I started OPKs yesterday, super nervous that I was going to O but so far they're negative. The plan is to do a trigger shot when it's time. Something else making me anxious is DH is getting a long-awaited epidural steroid injection in his lower spine tomorrow. He's had terrible back pain and the appointment was made several weeks ago. After doing some online research I'm paranoid that something freak will happen and he'll have ED following the shot for at least the next few days. I'm telling myself I'm crazy and my mom confirmed this is super standard and people have them all the time without any weird effects. I originally was doing research to see if it would affect (that's right, right?) the quality of the sperm but couldn't find anything saying that happens and then stumbled upon some stories of ED as a result. He tried to reschedule but the next appointment isn't until March. So, I'm crazy, nothing else is new. . I'm trying to stay super hopeful that this first IUI will be our lucky ticket.
QOTW: I'm very stubborn and a "know it all", but I wouldn't make a scene unless it was something I felt very strongly about.

Hi there! I'm relatively new to TheBump (posted in the TTC area) and brand new to the TTTC board.
1. DH and I have been TTC for 4+ years. 2. DH diagnosed with severe male factor infertility. (We did three rounds of B2B IUIs this fall and were unsuccessful.) 3. Starting IVF with ICSI (Gonal-F, metronidazole, Novarel, Ganirelix, Endometrin, Menopur) on or around February 2nd (eek!), and starting estrogen pills 2x daily between this Wednesday, and then.
QOTW: I'll always stand up for what is right, but I think the key to 'not making a scene' is being compassionate, listening, and working through differences, respectfully.
Looking forward to following along with everyone! Thanks for creating and encouraging this community.

Currently: Recovering from moderate OHSS and prepping for a FET in March April (delayed another month due to ovaries 3x the normal size, filled with too many cysts, due to overstimming back in Jan/Feb).

I have an appointment tomorrow for injections. My H is freaking out about giving me shots so hopefully the appointment will ease his stress about it.
qotw: I wouldn't make a scene. I know when things are wrong, but I also know that some people are raised with different perspectives and so I try not to be hard on them. I'm more of a listener.
Hi ladies. Update for me: got PGS testing back today. I have 3 healthy embabies waiting for me in the lab. 2 boys and 1 girl. I am planning on taking a month off and transferring in March
QOTW: definitely let it go. I would never cause a scene to get a point across.

Well, I finally scheduled an appt with the RE for next week and DH was planning on going for his 2nd SA this week but today we got our first ever BFP! I waited until 16dpo because I've been having a decent amount of cramping and back pain so I thought AF was on its way and we were away at the in-laws. So excited but nervous at the same time, I guess I won't be able to relax until 2nd trimester.
@babyexpress congrats! How many will you transfer?
My insurance changed to TriCare Prime in January. I never took my husband's insurance because my insurance through work suited me fine. However, as we started going down the infertility road, BlueShield was covering nothing, not even blood work. My husband and I are covered under TriCare since he is a retired veteran, so I switched. It's been a little bit of a nightmare. Luckily, we aren't starting IVF until June so I have a few months to sort out all the tests and make sure I am going through all the correct paths to get the most covered.
We've been down this road before - I've already done all the testing including 2 HSGs! But since it's been 6+months, RE wants new bloodwork. Hubby is off the hook - no testing for him this round.
We live in San Diego so I'm sorry to those buried in snow - it's sunny and 60s here.

@mandasand my gut is telling me 1, but I'm going to wait and go over it with my RE. I'll take his recommendation. I wouldn't mind if two implanted. 1 boy and 1 girl, that's my dream. I'll iust call it quits after that. Knock it out

I just had my CD12 ultrasound. My lining is 10.8mm and I have an 18mm follicle on the right ovary and 12mm and 16mm on the left. They said that's good and I'm going to do the trigger shot tomorrow for an IUI Friday morning. She originally said to trigger tonight, IUI Thursday but Friday is better for us. They assured me that was fine - anyone have experience? Friday will be CD15. If you've done IUI did your spouse wait with you? DHs work schedule is tough but he wants to wait with me while it's done but it's not until an hour and a half after he gives his sample so I feel like he should just go back to work.

How long have you been TTC? 2 1/2 years DH was tested and he is fine. 2. What is your diagnosis? Pcos, although my current doctor doesn't think I have it.
3. What is your current treatment plan? Started first round of clomid this past cycle. Just waiting to see if it took. I had severe cramps and pains for a week during ovulation, had an ultrasound that showed 5 large follicles. hoping for the best.
Thanks for all the advice and help over the past month.
Congrats @babyexpress on your 3 healthy embabies! Please keep us posted on what your RE recommends you do regarding transfer. I agree, I would be happy with twins too and being finished after one pregnancy! Especially with all we have to go through to get ourselves KU...

My RE took me off clomid and put me on Metformin to get everything level. Then, he told me that hubbys sperm was abnormal! This past Saturday, we got a BFP! I just thought I was getting sick! I'm super nervous since we had so much bad news with the PCOS and sperm and I'm trying to keep the what if's out of my head! I had my hCg measured Monday and it was at 80. I had it redone today and the nurse never called so I'm praying no news is good news!
Congrats @MrsB627! Praying for increasing betas for you!! Keep us posted!
I am VERY excited to report that we just got my husband's SA results back... total count was 43 million!! FINALLY above the normal cutoff! Motility was a little low at 35%, and according to the form they like it to be at least 40%. I'm hoping the motility will keep improving as he continues taking the clomid. Rapid progressive motility was at 60% though... no clue what that really means, all I know is that the normal cutoff for it is 32%. This will also be the first time we are eligible for morphology testing. Hopefully we'll get those results tomorrow. I'm nervous, since we have no clue what to expect with morphology!
He also went to the lab today to get blood work to test his T levels... hoping we're in normal range there as well.

@MrsB627 sending you good thoughts! I hope they're able to figure something out.
I just had IUI #1. We were really happy with DH's counts. 6.4mil and 89% motility. Lots of CM and hope that everything follicle-related was good, per Tuesday's ultrasound. FX we're lucky. I'm going to take it really easy this TWW, almost like post-IVF FET.
Q: those who have had IUIs - how long was it between your partner's sample to IUI? DH did the sample at 9:15a and IUI was at 11a. That seems like a long time between...I trust the RE's office, but they admitted they were behind schedule because of two emergencies earlier.

QOTW: I'm very stubborn and a "know it all", but I wouldn't make a scene unless it was something I felt very strongly about.
Baby A (via IUI due to MFI): Sep 2016 born at 35+6
QOTW- I usually don't care making a scene when I am getting my point across. Generally I don't have to make a scene because I am good with words lol but I usually never keep quiet,
*Child mentioned*
Round 2 of Femara- BFP!!! First beta at 10dpo- 28 Second beta at 12 dpo- ?
As for "check-in" stuff... DH gets his next SA on Thursday. We're both nervous, hoping for good results.
QOTW: I usually keep to myself in public. Unless I'm on injections!
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs
IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos
FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17
FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
1. DH and I have been TTC for 4+ years.
2. DH diagnosed with severe male factor infertility. (We did three rounds of B2B IUIs this fall and were unsuccessful.)
Married for 5 years, TTC for 4 years
History:
3 MCs at 12wks, 8wks, 5wks = referred to RE in March '15
dx: MFI (0% morphology, 18% motility)
3 b2b IUIs on Gonal-F & Ovidrel = 3 BFNs
Round 1 of IVF in 2/16 = overstimmed with E2 of almost 6,000. 23 eggs retrieved, 17 mature, 15 fertilized, 8 blasts frozen on day 5. Fresh cycle canceled due to too many eggs.
Currently:
Recovering from moderate OHSS and prepping for a FET in March April (delayed another month due to ovaries 3x the normal size, filled with too many cysts, due to overstimming back in Jan/Feb).
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. --Romans 5:3-5 ESV

I am on my 2nd IUI. It was actually cancelled due to a hormone producing cyst after my 1st IUI on 12/30. But, my RE said if the cyst went down I could do an unmedicated. It did and I did an unmedicated IUI this round. I did use ovidrel trigger. Nothing else. I had my progesterone check today 6 dpo and was prescribed prometrium. I am also on estrace from the thin lining last month. Not sure what I will do this month, the menapur was pretty intense. Good luck to everyone! Let's hope for some cupid babies in Feb!
HSG 12/4
#1: First IUI on 12/30 - Letrozole + Menapur + Ovidrel BFN- hormone producing cyst
#2: Second IUI- unmedicated w/ Ovidrel only on 1/19. TWW (on Estrace for thin lining and Prometrium for lower progesterone. BFN
#3: 3rd IUI 2/16 & 2/17 back-to-back IUIs- Femara + Gonal-F + Ovidrel (5 mature follicles but lower donor sperm count)
***BFP mentioned***
Well, I finally scheduled an appt with the RE for next week and DH was planning on going for his 2nd SA this week but today we got our first ever BFP! I waited until 16dpo because I've been having a decent amount of cramping and back pain so I thought AF was on its way and we were away at the in-laws. So excited but nervous at the same time, I guess I won't be able to relax until 2nd trimester.
Fx for all of you xoxo

@LGW2015 congratulations on your bfp! happy and healthy 9 months to you!
@babyexpress congrats on the 3 embabies!
QOTW - I would try to get my point across but I've learned over the years that sometimes it's not worth arguing over and making a scene. So I just let it go and know in my head that I'm still right lol.

Baby A (via IUI due to MFI): Sep 2016 born at 35+6
How long have you been TTC? 2 1/2 years
DH was tested and he is fine.
Welcome newbies! @leamide @salt+light @Megan3086
Congrats @babyexpress on your 3 healthy embabies! Please keep us posted on what your RE recommends you do regarding transfer. I agree, I would be happy with twins too and being finished after one pregnancy! Especially with all we have to go through to get ourselves KU...
Congrats on your BFP @LGW2015!!! H&H 9 months to you!!
Edited to correct a bunch of typos.

@wifeinraleigh28 Happy Birthday!!
@LGW2015 Congratulations!!
Congrats to all the ladies who got their BFP this cycle!!

Baby A (via IUI due to MFI): Sep 2016 born at 35+6
No diagnosis yet but have ruled out pcos and diabetes. So far all they know is I don't ovulate and I only get my TOM if I take provera.
No treatment plan yet but seeing a doctor in a week and a half.

Waiting to see if AF comes next week, or whether the drugs have screwed up my cycle, as has happened in the past.
QOTW- I have created a scene in the past for what I believed was right, but it didn't make a difference. Doubt I will again.
Married for 4 years, TTC for 1.5 years
Unexplained infertility
History:
Hypothyroid, under control
Low ovarian reserve
2 IUIs
IVF #1 no luck
IVF #2 ongoing
1. How long have you been TTC? on and off for 4 years.
2. What is your diagnosis? PCOS
3. What is your current treatment plan? Right now we're treating my elevated prolactin and TSH for 4 weeks - more bloodwork - adjust. Once that is under control we're doing Femara + IUI for 1-2 cycles, then moving to injectables.
I just finished my last pill in a 10 day stretch of provera to induce my first AF in 18 months! it's been awhile and I am ULTRA bloated right now - miserable.
I intro'd a bit ago, but I'm so happy to be a part of a community again. I really, really does make a difference!
