I've just jumped right in replying to a few posts but figure I should introduce myself.
My husband and I have been trying for our third child for two years. It took us two years and the use of clomid to conceive our second and I've had a total of eight first trimester losses. The last one was an ectopic pregnancy 13 months ago, and we haven't been able to conceive since. Blocked tubes are probable at this point. I have PCOS and low progesterone.
We finally relocated to an urban area that has REs and I'm finally able to be seen by a specialist and we've jumped right into a combined treatment-assessment cycle. I've had a loooot of blood work done, none of which resulted in any surprises, and I'll be having a sono to check my tubes. RE decided to just put me right on letrozole this cycle in the off chance my tubes aren't blocked - figured he might as well give us a chance this cycle - so I'm being monitored for my response to that. Our treatment trajectory is up in the air until we know more, so for now we're just really hoping the letrozole does the trick.
