do you have names yet? No. Funny story - my husband kept saying he was not ready to start talking about names yet and said he would tell me when he was ready. When we were on our babymoon in Cancun, having dinner on the beach, and he brings it up. We settled on Alexandra and Elise. Elise was his idea, Alexandra was mine. The next day he didn't even remember that we had talked about it. I guess he had more champagne than I thought.
Care to share? 2 girls - Alexandra Joy and Elise Royal are still in the running, but for now we are still calling them Banana (pronounced Buh-nay-nay) and Papaya.
if you have a singleton, how is this different? First timer. Everything is completely brand new for me!
@auntieembabes I love Sam & Alice! So beautiful. @msandretto Evelyn and Genevieve are very pretty too! Any plans for nicknames?
(Singleton Lurker) My twins turn 2 in March - Genevieve and Anne - Love the names, msandretto Sam and Alice are supercute too! Clearly Banana and Papaya take the cake!
Keep up the great work, twin Mamas!!
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!

This is totally off topic but @JennyS86 I was going to ask you about delayed cord clamping...I know your girls were early, so maybe they didn't even have time for this...but is t possible for twins?
Honestly, I don't know if it is possible with twins! Definitely ask your OB - and ask for c-section and vag delivery. The hospital I delivered at just started doing that for preemies like a month or 2 after the girls were born! I was so bummed. There are always more hands on deck for twin deliveries, so I wouldn't think Delayed cord clamping would be an issue, for di/di twins, right? I wonder if it's possible for mo/di or mo/mo.

Sorry I didn't get a check-in posted on Thursday! It was my Birthday and we were headed to Great Wolf Lodge and the day just got so hectic.
how far are you? 26 weeks
do you have names yet? Nope! Not even close, but a rough list of 10 ideas. We won't 100% decide until the hospital - we like to 'see' the baby before really naming it. Care to share? We're having boys. So far Luke is one I'm leaning towards. Our 8 year old son is Hank Daniel and our 5 year old is Julia Lane.
if you have a singleton, how is this different? I will say that overall it's been an easy pregnancy. My son's was super easy and my daughter's was the hardest in the 1st tri (I wasn't surprised I was having twin boys since I had no morning sickness!). Things that are different: really bad carpal tunnel, esp at night. I had this a little with my first two pregnancies but not until the 3rd tri and very mild. I've been wearing wrist guards at night since Christmas and that still only helps some. Another difference: a swollen vagina! Yes, that's what I said. When I first noticed it I was like.... W..T...F??? But apparently it's totally normal (due to increased blood flow) but it's still so weird! It's least swollen in the morning and then depending on how active I am through out the day the swelling increases. I first noticed it about 2 months ago. Aren't you glad you all know this now?
@Sunshinebins Hi, I'm lurking from June 2016 and have 2 1/2 yr old Mono Di girls. Delayed cord clamping can be very dangerous in a monochorionic pregnancy but I'm sure depending on what is happening in a dichorionic pregnancy it may be possible due to not sharing a placenta and blood supply. It is hard to find a ton of info on the topic but what I read came from ACOG, your MFM may know if it is possible with dichorionic twins (if that is what you are having.) Best wishes fellow multiple moms on the rest of your pregnancy and baby journey!!!

First time, so everything is new.
