Can I just vent for a minute?

So tonight was DH's company holiday party.  I was conveniently sitting at a table with his pregnant cousin (her hubby works for the same company as DH), a lady who just returned from maternity leave, and a lady with 3 kids who wants one more baby.  Of course the topic of conversation was none other than babies. 

Then, we see DH's grandma (it's DH's dad's company so some family members came too) and the first thing she says to me is "you're not having a baby yet?" when she see a glass of wine in my hand! I was like WTF?! This all happened in the first 15 minutes we were there.  Thank goodness for my wine or I would not have made it through.  I seriously sat trying to hide the tears in my eyes for the first few minutes of dinner.  It really sucks when you can't express to people why a situation like that is so uncomfortable.

Thanks for letting me vent...It was not a good night :(

    aww sweetie. I am so sorry. I can only imagine. Let the tears flow... I totally know the feeling!! You will have a baby in your arms soon enough! :)

    UGH! what a crappy way to start your weekend! I'm sorry you had to deal with that! Shortly after my m/c we went to a wedding and everyone at our table was PG or had kids -

    I can totally sympathize with you !
