Baby's measurements

We took DS's stats tonight since he is 1 month old and I'm worried he isn't gaining weight as he should. He was 8lb 9oz and 18.75" at birth. He was down to 8lbs even at 4 days old. Dr said that was fine and to continue with breastfeeding. At 2 weeks he was 8lbs 6oz at the dr's. Still good to continue with breastfeeding. Today he is 21" but only 8lbs 12oz. It seems he's grown lengthwise but isn't gaining fast. I do realize my scale could be off from the dr's scales.
I know diapers are the best sign of how breastfeeding is going. It seems LO likes to hold his pee because he will be dry then all of a sudden have a full diaper. I constantly check his diaper.
We feed on demand and as a result he's pretty much on me most of the day. I plan on calling his pedi either tomorrow or Monday morning but figured I would ask here as well. Thanks!

My little one was 7lb 2 oz at birth. At 4 days old at dr she was 7. At one month, 9 lb 9 oz and grew 2" in length. Each baby is different but this is comparable to birth vs 1 month for my son.

How many wet diapers does he have? It should be about 5-6 a day. Our Dr lets me bring LO by whenever I want to weigh on their scale, I did that a lot with my first when we were having some nursing troubles. Maybe see if you can do that for a more accurate weight. Sounds like he is gaining a bit slowly. Maybe see about meeting with a lactation consultant?

He's around 5-6. I'll call a LC tomorrow to see about setting up an appt. He has a lip tie but the dr wasn't too concerned about it. I wonder if it's a problem after all.
