If you have - how'd you do it?
If you haven't - how are you going to tell?

If this pregnancy is doubling, I'm waiting until closer to Valentine's Day to give him an engraved bookmark that says "Another chapter is about to begin..." and a positive test.

(He thinks I have my period, since I did start bleeding and I never got a chance to have that "surprise" with m first two since I needed his support through the bleeding I had with them. This time around, I've decided to be happy while I am pregnant and embrace whatever happens. A "give it up to God" attitude. Plus, the toddlers keep me busy!)

I woke him from a dead sleep at 2am and said "I have to show you something." Not very romantic or anything, but I could not sleep after getting a positive test after trying for three years!

I tested to prove him wrong that I wasn't pregnant.. well, you see where that got me.

I texted him the positive test and he promptly called and said "are you effing kidding me?!" Hahaha, number 4 has thrown him for a loop

My story is similar to @van1976. I woke him up from a dead sleep at 6am and told him I need you to come see. He was a little shocked.

I managed to test without him knowing and only tested because my temp shot up at dpo10. I had been saying all month I had I gut feeling it wasn't happening, so he wasn't expecting me to test. I managed to keep it quiet all day and brought him home a present that had baby sized scrubs, 2 BFPs and 2 books for surviving pregnancy for men. I told it was am "I'm sorry for working 90 hours this week" gift. He starting crying immediately when he got to the tests.

My husband bounces at a bar on the weekends, so Friday night I asked him to pick up some FRERs on the way home from work. I was planning to wait until Saturday morning to test, but I got antsy and I took a wondofo test. I wasn't expecting anything because I was only 10DPO and it wasn't FMU, but it came up positive. So when he came home at 3am, I handed it to him. He was like "So why'd you make me go to the store?!" Lol.

I woke up again at 6am, and decided to use the FRER to confirm. He woke up and came down to test with me. His eyes weren't really open, I don't think he really saw the second positive before he passed back out. Lol

@von1976 My story is similar ... I was sure I wasn't KU but tested on one wondfo at like 5am on 10 DPO because I wanted to drink at our nice dinner that night. I was so shocked to see a faint second line! But I was out of FMU and it was only a wondfo, so I tried to go back to sleep so I could test later (haha yeah right). I laid there until I had to pee again and then tested on FRER and CB digital and go + on both! For a split second I considered waiting until he woke up or thinking of a cute way to tell him, but I couldn't help it, I just jumped on him in bed and told him I was pregnant! It was a wonderful moment and I wouldn't change it for anything.

I tested without telling him I was going to and I was going to come up with a cute way to tell him. Instead, he randomly asked if I was pregnant. I asked him why he would ask me that and he said my boobs were bigger! I can't lie so I told him yes and we had a cute moment. I guess he really pays attention to those things

We were out of town for a work trip my DH had. I had brought a couple tests with me so I took one that morning and I got a really faint line. I didn't want to tell him until I could confirm on a digital but I didn't bring and digitalis with me. So while he was in a meeting I went to target and got a digital and a little football baby hat (DH Is a football fanatic). By the time I was done DH texted me that he was back in the hotel room so I actually took the digital at target so it would be ready when I got to the hotel and he wouldn't be suspicious. I put the digital sticking out of the hat on the bathroom sink and a little while later asked him to get me some medicine from the bag in the bathroom. He came back out with the medicine and DIDNT EVEN SEE IT! It was literally right next to the bag. He's so oblivious. So I took him back in there and said look! Lol

I'm actually nervous he is going to ask me before I want to tell him because he always says "I smell like baby" when Im pregnant. I'm been trying to keep my distance for days! hahahaha

I tested in the morning before he went to work, but I resisted the urge to tell him then and there. I pulled out the big brother shirt I bought for DS before our first loss and I put it on him before DH got home from work to surprise him. Only.... He didn't notice. He talked to us and played with DS for 20 minutes before I lost patience, lifted DS's arms and said, "OMG, read!" Then he gave me a first bump.

I didn't even have a chance to surprise DH. He is so impatient. He talked me into taking a test at 7dpo, negative, obviously. So I told him I wasn't taking another until I missed AF. Well, 11dpo he woke me up early, and handed me a test. I was half asleep and growing more curious myself, so I tested and instantly put the test down and covered it with a washcloth so I couldn't see it while it developed. After 3 minutes we lifted it up and checked together. We both screamed happy screams. I really wanted to do something cute to surprise him, but it ended up being a perfect moment just how it was ❤

I showed him the BFP digital and he said "nice. what does that mean?" So romantic. In his defense, I had told him that morning after getting a squinter that I thought I was KU. He didn't understand why I was testing again.

@PeggyOlsonFTW we told my mom and stepdad with a shirt both times - once on my dog (for the first) and once we even had my stepdad change my sons shirt into the "big brother" shirt and it still took them until I said "READ THE SHIRT!!" About 20 mins later both times haha

I wrapped up onesies of his favorite football team with the positive test. At first he thought I just randomly bought some onesies. It took a minute for it to click and for him to see the test. I caught it in video, it was amazing

I was two days passed when AF was supposed to come. Usually, I wouldn't think twice about it, sometimes I am a few days later than I predict. I originally was going to wait until Sunday to test. But I really didn't want to get my hopes up by continuing to wait so I decided to POAS last night. It took all of 10 seconds for the second line to appear on the first test. I promptly peed again and 5 seconds later, another second line. I ran out of the bathroom and told DH "i had something to show him." I was so excited I was shaking and smiling and laughing and on the verge of crying. DH was just like. "Are you pregnant? There's a baby in there?! I hope it's a boy. But it's probably a girl."

After waking up with headaches and feeling tired for a week I was pretty sure I was pregnant. I had purchased these wine tags off Etsy when we started trying in August for when the time came. DH goes to work and I take a test and the faint line appears. I was shocked! I took more tests to confirm and they were all positive. So, I go get a bottle of wine out of the wine fridge and attach the wine tag to it. DH comes home and he's just chatting away about his day. Meanwhile, I'm so anxious for him to go to the fridge to get this wine but I didn't push it. So, he goes to walk the dog! What?!?! Ugh. So, I sat there for like 15 minutes anxiously waiting for him to get back and go to the fridge. He comes back and says, "Well, would you like some vino?" I said, "Sure, I already put a white in the fridge for us" (no, I didn't have any). I hear him say, "Are you kidding? You're pregnant?" He comes in, picks me up, swirls me around and does a little happy dance! I wish I got it on video because it was so stinkin cute!

I just 'knew' I was pregnant a week before I should have gotten my period. I felt awful and my BBs were so sore. I bought a "Big Sister" t-shirt for our DD to have just in case. I took a test when I didn't get my period, but it was negative. I was so surprised because I thought for sure it would be positive. Needless to say, I never got it and tried again after a week and it was positive. That morning, I put the t-shirt on our DD and brought her into our bed for her morning milk sippy cup. He was happily shocked!

How I told DH this time:

me- WTH?
dh- what?
me- I need to go get more pregnancy tests right now
dh- don't you have a bunch?
me- no! I peed on them all. The cheapies aren't showing anything and I peed on this one earlier (waves frer around) and it didn't show anything. Now it has two lines but it is hours after the test time frame. I need more immediately!
dh- it's like 8pm and the boys are in bed
me-.....

20min later
me- well damn, there are two lines and I'm pregnant.
dh- I knew you were pregnant when you farted last night, that was a pregnancy fart.

I tested on a Sunday, but I really wanted to surprise him because it's our first and he's been wanting to be a dad forever. I was going to tell him on VDay, but he's been really sick with pneumonia and I thought it would make him feel better. So I gave him 4 cards:

To my sweet husband...

The only thing better than having you as my husband...

Will be our children having you as their dad...

I love you.

Then I handed him the positive test and the note from the doctors office with the estimated due date. He started crying and stared at it in disbelief for a minute, but he was thrilled.

DH and I suck at surprises. I ran downstairs practically screaming the first time. The second time, I called him to come upstairs and blurted it out. He cried both times (big softie). I wouldn't change that for the world.

Our BFP was a complete surprise since we were actually planning to do an IUI with out next cycle. I tested randomly on Wednesday once I realized I hadn't peed in a while. My initial thought was "what's another negative HPT at this point, anyway", so I was absolutely shocked when I saw that second line. Of course DH was at work, but because I had acquired a few things in preparation for this moment (which had been stored away in the top of my closet because I thought it would never happened). I threw everything together in a little box and waited for him to get home. This is what it looked like (warning: digi hpt included in the pick, sorry - I didn't know how to edit it out!)
