Croup, grumpy baby

My DS has croup. We took him to the Dr yesterday and his oxygen levels, lungs and ears all were good.  We opted to wait for the steroid since he was not coughing at that time.  He had a good night last night, but today has been unusually grumpy.  His nose is constantly dripping , he has been sneezing tons and when he coughs he is "barking."  He still is not coughing  a lot.  He normally is a very happy little guy but today has had several times of screaming for 10-15 minutes before I can get him to calm down. Not sure what to do at this point. I hate when my little ones don't feel well!

    Poor baby!!!! Run a super hot shower, close the door and let him sit in the steam with you. That's the best thing for croup. Good luck :)

    My daughter had croup right after Christmas for 10 days!  It was horrible!  She had to sleep on me upright on the couch because of how congested she was. The only thing I found that helped was using the nasal aspirator often, running a cold air humidifier at night and just lots of snuggles. Hang in there, he will be better soon!  You could also give baby Tylenol if he has a fever, my daughter would just spit it up though,so that didn't help us any.

    We had our first trip to the ER this week because of croup. He had a bad case of Stridor so he got the breathing treatment and steroid. He seems to be getting better. I hope you guys get better too!
