Car seat in 3rd row

Borrowing my in laws car for the week - anyone know if it's safe to put a convertible car seat (rear facing) in the 3rd row?

    It is safe but might not fit with 2nd row all the way back. If there's a seat in 2nd row might not be safe for that car seat. In my car manual says to have seat slid all the way back when there's a seat in 2nd row.
