Leaps are KILLING me

edited February 2016 in November 2015 Moms
So someone on here had recommended I download the Wonder Weeks app. LO turned into a 24/7 crab butt and per the app he was in a leap.

The poor kid cries on and off all day. I work 10 hr days and when I get home I only have an hour with him before he gets ready for bed. And during that time he's crying his ass off. It's so stressful because I miss him so much and when I come home I just want to play with him and get some cuddles but that isn't happening.

I cry every day because I'm still having a hard time with being back at work. It doesn't help my work from home status got pushed 3 months.

Anyone else having a rough time with work and dealing with leaps?!?!

  • Pretty sure LO is going through the 12 week WW and the three month growth spurt. Needless to say, I'm exhausted!
  • It's tough, but the leap is a stage that passes quickly.  There will always be a stage though.  Some are better than others.  Some days they will be happy to see you and some days they won't.  This will be a lifelong thing.  And while I would love it if baby were always cuddly and happy after I came home from a 10 - 12hr work day, that's not something you can expect from an infant or a burden you should put on an older child.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.
