Major spitter!

My LO is a major spitter, but a happy spitter. I've taken my pediatricians suggestions about keeping him upright after feedings, frequent burping, etc., which has helped a little but not a ton. They haven't been concerned because he's in the 85% percentile for weight. I've read in some articles that 4 months is the peak of it. Just curious if you ladies are experiencing the same? I would love to wear him more (instead of keeping in the stroller when I'm out), but it's a little tough if he's spitting up a lot (much easier to change him or his bib from the stroller). I'm sure all of this teething doesn't make it any better...

Re: Major spitter!

  • My LO also spits up constantly. I don't have any advice. Its hard to take him places and he spits up eveywhere. He spit up all over a funeral home last weekend I was so embarassed. It makes people not want to hold him because it gets all over eveyones clothes and I have to hide his cute outfits with bibs. I am used to it now and it doesn't even phase me When I have spit up all over me. When my LO had a cold, he barely spit up for a week and I thought he was a finally growing out of it but now that he's better, the spit up is back to full force. I'm so ready for him to grow out of this phase. Hopefully he will. The only good thing is that it does not bother him anymore, when he was a newborn it did .

Overall I think it has improved. Some days he barely spits up and other days it's full force. He eats solid foods twice a day and I did take him to the chiropractor, both things I believe helped somewhat.
