I will post this week, but if anyone wants to take over the check in please let me know!
This is a weekly check in for the lucky ones who have made it to the 3rd trimester!!! If you are in week 28 or past, feel free to join in on the weekly fun.
If you're just joining us, please post a mini synopsis in your first post with your EDD, how many beans, if you know the sex(es) and how you have been feeling in 3rd tri along with any appointment updates.
QOTW: what has surprised you about this pregnancy the most?
My update: u/s on Thursday to check her size. I am having tons of contractions, but nothing regular.
I am so pissed at the bump!! I typed a whole thing and it cut me off and lost it again!
here it goes again. I am miserable and whiney and pregnant and so over it.
QOTW: I am surprised at how slow this pregnancy has gone. I hoped with 2 kids to distract me it would be faster and instead it has been just as stressful and full of worry as my other pregnancies.
Update: 30 weeks+ Saw the local OB today both babies have enough fluid and heart rates look good, A is still head down and B is now transverse. Had the booster shot for whooping cough too. I see the MFM again next week.
QOTW: There is a slight chance our boys could be identical and I have not had much of an appetite.
@jeannaqueena good luck with your appointment on Thursday, hopefully those contractions have been productive, will they check you for dilation at your appointment?

@efhoping2010 they checked me last week and no progress I have been having Braxton hicks for weeks. I was so disappointed after last weeks appointment dr said her head was floating around not near the birth canal and zero progress. I know it doesn't mean much bc with DS#2 it was fast and furious once it started.
I bet they will check me on Thursday or will look via the ultrasound (I think they can see the cervix...)
@CTinNV i think they have to do the shot after 27 weeks so i am surprised they haven't mentioned it to you yet...def ask!

Hi! I'd like to be added to the third tri board. I am 28w1d and couldn't be happier to be over here. My EDD is April 25 and we are expecting 1 little lady. Been feeling pretty good. Have a birthday coming up in 2 weeks as well as my shower at the end of this month. Lots going on. A very exciting time indeed.
Married for 4 years. TTC for 3.

40 weeks today and.... Nothing. I go in Thursday for a checkup, then again on the 9 th and he has an induction appt on the 10 th. I have a feeling we're going to have to induce. There's just no sign of any progress here.
Ugh. So yesterday I went in to see another OB at my clinic (my dr is on vacation). She checked my cervix and did a membrane sweep. 1cm dilated and my cervix is "not quite as high as it was 2 weeks ago" (it was unreachable). I've had a small amount of brown mucus discharge since then, but that's it. She admitted there was very little going on and gave me the "be prepared for the 9th appt speech". She explained that if my cervix doesn't change by the 9th they'll likely offer me a scheduled c-section instead of induction because their studies show that 84% of these cases end in c-section and those that don't have a very high rate of severe (as in not fixable) tearing and damage to bladder and bowels. This makes sense, my mom has struggled with these issues and had multiple surgeries to attempt to repair the damage. Ok, not so bad, they won't let this happen to me, so I'll be ok if I need a c-section. She just wanted me to be prepared with the worst case scenario. Sigh. So much a struggle to get pregnant, been ill most of my pregnancy and now this, I sure didn't pull the lucky card!
@Knottie4978096 I am so sorry!! I can TOTALLY sympathize with you this week. I am going through a similar situation. It's so hard when our bodies don't cooperate. Plus it's even harder when they give you an option.
Here is my update. I had an ultrasound yesterday. I am 37w4days at the scan and baby girl measures 8 pounds 10 oz! I about freaked! My first baby was 8 pounds at 39w born via c/s due to placenta previa, second born 38 weeks at 8 pounds via VBAC and i tore horribly!! Both recoveries were hard in their own ways. So when my OB said she would support me if I wanted to 2VBAC or repeat c/s. It's so hard to know what the right decision is. I am in the same boat...do you try vaginally and then end up with a c/s? That is worse than a scheduled c/s.
Honestly, I cried half the day yesterday. I begged my OB to strip my membranes to try and bring labor naturally...but she wouldnt bc I am too early. I was going to try for a VBAC thru Sunday, but decided today that I am going to do the c/s. They scheduled me for the 15th at 11:30am.
i do feel better having a plan in place. I have everything ready...just need this baby out!! I know y'all can sympathize and probably are in the same boat of misery that i am. I am still hoping to go into labor before the 15th and get an earlier c/s.
Please feel free to vent frustrations with me!
