TMI? 1st period & clitorus pain

So one of the things I took for granted during pregnancy was not having to deal with a period. My daughter is 2 months and today I started my MC. I never remember my periods being this painful before. My cramping in my pelvis is excruciating to where I can't sleep and I'm puking! Also, my clitorus is sore and feels cramped, I've had this feeling since giving birth. This sounds disgusting to talk about, I know, but I had to see if anyone else was having this issue. I talked to my doctor and she said everything looked good, but this is my first child so I'm not aware of things like this.

Re: TMI? 1st period & clitorus pain

  • It's common for AF to be much worse after each child.

As for the pain it's only been 2 months since you had a baby. Give your body more time to heal.

  • I've had the same feeling as you re: the soreness.  It doesn't feel cramped, just kind of a numb pressure.  My ob said it was due to nerve damage in the area, but that it would get better with time.  The things people don't tell you about childbirth!

  • It's so awkward to ask about! Lol that's why I'm thankful for boards like this, so I can talking about these things and stay anonymous.
  • I also had clittoral pain and I asked my OB about it. She said it can take up to 6 months to completely heal. It took 9 months to make a baby, try to give it 9 months to heal too!
