Rants/raves/symptoms: I barely felt baby move all weekend and I was really worried, this morning he is back at it though.
I scheduled our maternity photos and our 3D/4D ultrasound last week! I am really excited!
Upcoming appointments: 2/8 for a regular OB
Questions for the group: None really
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? I don't know that it would be considered a heirloom, but I love my grandmother's ring that my mom gave me years ago. I'm not a fan of gold, but because it's hers I wear it every day.
Me: 31
DH: 29, SA - Great
Married: June 12,2011
TTC #1: 1/2014
Diagnosis: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea
Treatment: Clomid: 50mg, 100mg, 150mg - not successful and not monitored
Questions for the group: Anyone have a favorite quick, easy healthy meal that they turn to when short on time? I feel like I'm getting more tired lately and it's getting harder to motivate to fix dinner.
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? My husband has a lot of family heirlooms, but when my grandparents passed away, my aunts/uncles sold almost all of their stuff. UGH! BUT my mom got this small crystal pitcher that belonged to my grandmother (she used it for milk). Anyhow, my mom kept it in her china cabinet. On my wedding day she gave it to me. It is the only thing I own that counts as an "heirloom" and it has had me thinking lately of what I want to keep and one day pass down to LO.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Back pain and more back pain!
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday for a growth scan
Questions for the group: None
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? My mom has this really cool old ink pot that came from Ireland with my great, great, great, great grandfather. He used to use it to write love letters to my greatx4 grandmother.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I have been feeling pretty good this week! Due to the nice weather I've been outside more. I took an evening walk last night and it was lovely.
We bought a double stroller and a couple pieces of wall art for the baby's room last week. We really need to get started on her room!
Upcoming appointments: 2 weeks...regular check-up plus glucose test.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Finally getting over a cold and feeling much more energetic. Also, my stomach doesn't feel quite as tight as it has the last few weeks, which is a nice change.
Upcoming appointments: Still 2 weeks away.
Questions for the group: No
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? I don't really have much. My mom gave me a small stone Pieta statue that used to be her moms. I love it and plan to give it to DD when she's older. It's not really worth much but it has a lot of sentimental value.
Rants/raves/symptoms: The back pain has been terrible the past few days. Based on the previous responses, that seems to be a trend.
Upcoming appointments: 2/4 for glucose test. I'm not looking forward to drinking that "soda" drink. I only drink water and coffee, so chugging anything that sweet may just make me vomit.
Questions for the group: None at the moment.
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? When my grandfather was in the Army and deployed to the Philippines many years ago, he brought back a jewelry box for my grandmother. After he passed away about 15 years ago, she gave it to me because I am their oldest granddaughter together (she had a child from a previous relationship, who has a daughter older than me). She was afraid there would be an argument over who gets it after she passes, and she wanted to make sure I got it. It doesn't really fit with my decor, but I keep it on my dresser top, and it means a lot to me because he gave it to her.
@vinerie You could try crock pot meals. You could make soups, turkey chili, etc. I'm not really sure what else. Tacos are quick and easy, but they're also not healthy.

I second the crock pot meals! I'm doing a pot roast with vegetables in it tonight (cooking as we speak). By the time DH and I both get in from work, it's very rare that either of us feel like cooking, so we do a lot of crock pot meals. We even use the crock pot liners so clean up is a breeze, and we don't have to scrub anything. Lazy? YES. Do I care? Not one bit!
Rants/raves/symptoms: Baby is kicking ALOT, and I love it, but man... he is hammering in one place sometimes, and it gets a little much. Rave is that we bought the dressers we are going to redo for the nursery and put the crib together! Symptoms - huge weight gain. Need to get eating in control ASAP because I work out almost daily.
Upcoming appointments: 2/16 for Cardiologist, Glucose Test, and monthly catch up
Questions for the group: I may ask this on the cloth diaper board, but does anyone have suggestions for a diaper pail/trash can that contains the scent and has a lock?
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? A jade ring I inherited from my grandmother. It doesn't fit, but I look at it all the time missing her.
Rants/raves/symptoms: No rants atm. Raves is still feeling everything LO is doing. Kicks, punches, flips; it always makes me happy! Symptoms: some insomnia, bleeding gums, and exhaustion. That is probably because I'm having trouble sleeping though.
Upcoming appointments: 2/25 for OB follow up.
Questions for the group: Anyone else really behind on getting baby stuff? I just realized I haven't really bought anything yet for LO (including stuff for nursery) and now I feel like time is flying!
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? I don't have any heirlooms in my possession but I guess if I were to get my moms cedar chest that would probably be it. It was a gift from my late grandfather, and I'd love to be able to keep some outfits from when LO was small as keepsakes.
@vinerie my favorite go to meal is to take some chicken breasts, put them in a crockpot, throw some seasonings on them, add some frozen (or fresh, though frozen comes pre chopped lol) veggies. I then make a quick sauce on the stove that takes like 5 minutes, and voilà! Done. Turn the crock pot on and walk away. When everything is cooked I just make some brown rice, and when everything is ready I spent less than 20 minutes prepping. You could also throw the rice into the crockpot, you would just need chicken or veggie broth..makes the rice super flavorful, and omit the sauce. Just add that when everything is cooked!
@folamij I feel very behind. We still need to paint, redo toddler room and nursery, and start stocking up on newborn/recovery stuff. I realized today that I'm pretty much 3 months out. Yikes!
@folamij I am waiting until after my shower to buy a bunch of baby stuff. My friends and family keep telling me not to buy anything. I've bought cloth diapers though and some clothes.

@folamijagreed with everyone else. I went on one shopping trip once I found gender, but other than that, everything came from my mother because she is so excited. I'm still finishing up registry because I'm not even sure what all I want.
Rants/raves/symptoms: My 3yo blamed something on brother for this first time and he's not even here yet! Silly boy. Also, H and I don't completely agree on names but he is pretty set on Charles/Charlie. So what did he do? He made a new profile on our Netflix account for Charlie. He is also a silly boy.
Upcoming appointments: Two weeks from today
Questions for the group: none
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? My grandmother's wedding band is my wedding band. I love it so much. I didn't really want an engagement ring since I knew I would be getting this ring. It is a very slender platinum band with 6 small diamonds. It's very dainty. It has my grandparents initials and their 1949 wedding date engraved on the inside.
@vinerie I found this recipe on Pinterest a year or so ago and I make it all the time. https://www.budgetbytes.com/2013/07/creamy-tomato-spinach-pasta/ It's not the very healthiest dish since it is pasta and uses cream cheese, but it is vegetarian and you could put as much spinach as you like in it. It also is super cheap and tastes great leftover.
Rants/raves/symptoms: A few weeks ago I noticed that it was getting harder to breathe but now it's nearly constant. It's not just being out of breath from walking or climbing stairs, it feels like something is crushing my lungs.....so thanks, little baby.
Upcoming appointments: The 11th for my glucose test.
Questions for the group: Are you keeping the name a surprise or are you sharing? We have decided to wait until the birth to announce to everyone, family included. It's driving my mom crazy (which is so funny).
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? I have a trunk that was my grandfathers, and was passed down from several others before him. We just need to refinish it. Also have a couple of paintings from my great-great-uncle who was a painter in Germany.
Week/ fruit: 26w tomorrow and LO will be lettuce which is very confusing bc to me cantaloupe and cauliflower are bigger than lettuce no?
Rants/raves/symptoms: Crotch shots are out of control, I'm having a racing pulse randomly, dry skin, and I'm peeing just to pee all the time now. I have to always wear a pad.
Upcoming appointments: Friday. Glucose test
Questions for the group:
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom?
Been married since 2009. Unicornuate Uterus (yes I menstruate glitter) Several MCs DD born 2013 (our miracle "you can't have babies" baby!)
@aehogan90 we are keeping the name a secret until our LO is born as well. Our family also is going crazy wanting to know the name. To make sure we don't slip up we just pick a name to call baby, that way if the real name slips out they don't think anything of it.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I fainted in Target over the weekend while having a full blown conversation with the cashier about the nursery bedding. It was a pretty light fall I guess...no bumps or bruises. They held me hostage until DH could come pick me up. It was either wait or have a $200 ride to the ER
@folamij glad it's not just me! It's just special for my husband and me! But my sister-in-law is due in a month and they've been calling the baby by his name for months. So that definitely annoys my mom even more.
Wk- 24!!!!! Next appointment- 2/25 for glucose test and blood work to see if the iron deficiency is improving (I'm feeling a bit better so I'm crossing my fingers that the supplements are working). ?'s- n/a heirloom- a pair of gold hoop earrings my Nana gave me before she passed, they are really elegant and remind me of her in the nicest way!!!
Rants/raves/symptoms: A little heartburn, a few headaches, and random insomnia. Nothing too bad at this point!
Upcoming appointments: Regular OB appointment in a week, and follow up ultrasound to check on the placenta previa issue a month from today.
Questions for the group: None today.
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom: I have a quilt that my grandma made, but I "treasure" it in that I sleep with it every night. Sometimes I think I should have it cleaned and store it in plastic so it will last forever, but there is no better blanket for snuggling.
Rants/raves/symptoms: I've had back pains since week 8, but they just keep getting progressively worse. But, I have been feeling the little lady move more, so that's fun!
Upcoming appointments: 4 weeks for the Glucose test
Questions for the group:
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? It's not really an heirloom, but I too have a quilt my Grandmother made me @YouGoGlenCoco31 It's the greatest!
@aehogan90 - We haven't fully 100% committed to a first name yet even though we have told people what it most likely be. However, we are keeping the middle name a secret since it will be my mother's name. So far no one has asked us, but if they do we will tell them we don't know yet. Deny deny deny!
@hellogoodbye2 that's kind of the boat we were in up until about 2 weeks ago. We had a name that we liked but hadn't fully committed. It's a good thing we didn't since we decided on something different and now are fully committed. But i've dodged people asking the baby's name pretty well. Hope you can keep your secret until baby's born!
Sorry I am a few days late, but I was without reliable internet access until now.
Week/ fruit: 27/rutabaga (I feel a little dumb because I am not sure what a rutabaga is except that Rabbit in Winnie-the-Pooh grows them...)
Rants/raves/symptoms: Rant:I spent yesterday with explosive diarrhea. And Baby Luna was not happy and kept kicking and punching me. Way to add insult to injury, kid!
Rave: My son has started really talking to his baby sister and has felt her kick a few times, which sends him into giggle fits. It is the sweetest thing ever!
Symptoms: Started the week with horrific constipation, then diarrhea, and now ridiculous heartburn and gas.
Upcoming appointments: Had my 1hr glucose test on Saturday and an appointment coming up next Monday with my OB. Kinda bummed I won't be seeing the high risk MFM specialist because I really liked her, but glad that I am no longer HR.
Questions for the group: Eh, none at the moment.
GTKY: What is your most treasured family heirloom? The stone in my engagement ring is from MH's grandmother's ring and has been passed down for generations.
