Re: Monday Bitchfest

  • Everything smells. I hate pregnancy nose. I almost gagged at the smell of the ketchup on DS's plate yesterday and even though I washed all his blankets last week, everything the dog touches smells awful. I'm so looking forward to washing blankets every three days because I can't stand the smell.

Oh gawd! I'm not looking forward to Cabbage-for-Lunch guy at work.

My bitchfest is that coffee tastes like the Terminator bathed in it. I wanted to keep to one cup a day, but I guess that's not happening.

This! I don't remember it being this bad with my son. But my washer is non stop with all our bedding and whatever else I find that has a fowl smell. After anyone makes food I have my EO diffuser going with the windows open.  My older kids think I'm nuts because they don't know I'm pregnant yet.

MOOD SWINGS!!! I cannot stand them this morning! I was fine when DH was home but as soon as he left I swear I became a hormonal bitch! First I got irritated at my dogs not wanting to come inside this morning, then I got mad because the phone rang at my job (which you know is common because it is work) and now I am mad that I am so moody. Just a complete hormonal wreck this morning and I hope it simmers down. Oh also forgot to drink my one cup of coffee a day before I left the house so that probably isn't helping with this! I want to go back into bed and cuddle and sleep more!

This perfectly captures me this morning:

Ugh. I remember that part. So far the only thing my nose has picked up was dog poo. My mom's dog made a mess this morning and I was the only one who smelled it. I had to track it down. Lol

    *Loss mentioned*
My bitchfest is that hubby decided to blab to his brother and nieces that we're pregnant. We've had 3 losses, so we've already decided that this is our last pregnancy no matter the outcome. So I told my parents because I know I will need their support if something happens. But I didn't want anyone else to know because I'm tired of telling people and then having to go back and tell them I miscarried. And I talked to him before I told my parents, but he didn't discuss this with me. They were all over and he just said "Hey, we have some good news!" I was furious.

My husband is an identical twin, so he and his brother are a little codependent. So if he needed his brother's support that would be fine. But I didn't want the girls to know and I wish he would have talked to me first. Oh well....

  • I still don't have my insurance group number/or card. I have an appointment tomorrow and just remembered I still need to make sure my current CNW is on my new plan! So now I need to call Providence right at 8 and sit on hold for half an hour. I tried to call last week during the day and my call wouldn't even go through cause their lines were that busy. Health insurance is a mess here in Oregon this year.

  • I got new glasses, which I only wear at night, but every time I wear them they give me a massive headache. They were not cheap so I'm hoping I can take them back and get some new ones.

Also, I'm with you guys on the smells. GAG!
  • We just moved into a rental house 2 weeks ago. We haven't finished unpacking because we've been out of town. But the landlord said the house will be cleaned before we moved it. It certainly was not. So I have been trying to clean the old apartment for inspection, deep clean the new house so I can attempt to move in, ooh plus work too. Why can't people just do what they say they will?
  • Old Navy is the most unorganized mess of a store. I needed cheap sandals for DS for swim class or I wouldn't have even gone in there. I love their stuff, just hate stepping foot into the store.

With everyone on the smells. DH is needs to change his deodorant like yesterday.

@PeggyOlsonFTW I'm with you on the smells! I've always been sensitive to smell. I don't use any fragrances or fragranced products. Last seater there was a girl in our class whose perfume frequently gave me a headache. She sat three seats away from me this morning, and now I have a pounding migraine. I don't know how I managed to not throw up. I spent my lunch hour driving to a pharmacy to buy Tylenol, and now I'm not sure I can stomach my lunch. Ugh. Seriously.

  • Coffee is starting to taste gross for me too. I guess that is why I didn't drink much in my first pregnancy. I feel stressed and irritable today. Nap time yet??

  • The nausea started today. Totally foreign to me as I had none with my previous pregnancy... I'm hoping it's just what I had for lunch making me ill....
  • @OrangeEv Kinda metallic, oily, and smelling faintly of BO. It was heartbreaking. Coffee was one of my favourite flavours.

@DarthFuriosa  Aww that is sad. My mom and my sister were grossed out by coffee when they were pregnant. It hasn't hit me yet, but I won't be surprised if it does. What do you do about the caffeine headache?
  • OrangeEv said:

@DarthFuriosa I read your comment over and over about coffee tasting like the terminator bathed in it and still can't decide if that makes it taste bad or good. .....Like sweaty? Funny visual though!

@lilylover27 That gif and that movie are hilarious

@jb722 It should be fun trying to find a new deodorant for your husband! That is such a funny smell aversion though.

I would just like to throw a quick bitchfest shout out to the dayshift nurse I gave report to this morning. She always finds a way to subtly insult me about how I did my job. I always roll with it like I didn't even catch it, but inside I'm like

Ughhh that is the WORST. She's probably just intimidated. Keep on keepin on..
  • @OrangeEv I tried tea and complaining, but neither really help. Just waiting is out. Water seems to make it easier though.
