Holiday advice..

Hi Ladies,
Bit of advice wanted really and friendly ears.. We had a loss in July last year and since October have been trying again with no joy as yet.
We want to enjoy life and spend our money whilst just two of us so we've booked to go on our dream holiday to Las Vegas in April.
It will be a long haul flight from uk and just wondered what everyone would do with ttc and possibly catching on and being pregnant in Vegas? I hate the idea of not trying for 4mths and losing that precious time but also hate idea of being on holiday feeling sick, tired and totally terrified of something going wrong again and being away from home?
Lots of walking can cause spotting etc and Vegas will be busy busy days so very full on! My other half says can't put life on hold and we keep trying regardless as it will happen when happens but I'm terrified of being in the first scary trimester and being so far from home. After my loss last year it makes the thought of the flight and being away for those weeks even harder.
What would everyone else do?

I'd say go. Don't live like you're pregnant til you are. Have fun in Vegas and take your mind off TTC!

ETA: I'd still try too. You can have your cake and eat it too.

I would go! I find planning vacations a good distraction while TTC. Even though mine are mostly imaginary/wishful vacations lol.

Sounds like you have earned a fabulous vacation. Cancelling a flight is no big deal if you do end up pregnant and don't feel up to it.

Go! You definitely deserve a vacation, and you should do it while you are able to. I had a mc in April of last year and went on a cruise in June and July. I am also booked for one in March. I am going to keep on living my life and try to enjoy time with my husband and vacation while we are able to.

I agree with everyone else - you can't put off living life because of what might happen. Cross the bridges as they come :-)

I also agree with all the ladies - you deserve this vacation, and if for whatever reason you don't feel up to it you can cancel the flight. For this reason, do your homework on the cancellation policy so that you feel comfortable with the decision to go.

There's no time like the present

It's actually a funny coincidence, last year in early January, when DH and I were getting frustrated TTC #1, we booked a trip for Las Vegas for April! And wouldn't you know it, I got my first BFP in March! (even though that one didn't last, was over before the trip, so I never crossed the bridge of travelling while pregnant)

Hi ladies, I've been off this board a few weeks but thankyou for all comments

I actually got my BFP today, the first month we relaxed an didn't really try, bit in shock and definitely scared after last time but taking each day at a time! (All being well) I guess I'll be hitting Vegas whilst pregnant after all...! Exciting! X
