Ahh my boobs!

I thought this wasn't supposed to be as bad with the second child. I'm currently under a heated blanket trying to warm up my nipple. Winter needs to over.

Re: Ahh my boobs!

  • Lol! You are not alone at all. I swear mine never warm up enough to stop poking out. It doesn't help that I feel like I've received rock implants to top it off.

  • I went from barely being a B cup to a nice full C in what feels like overnight. They are sore as hell and my nipples are something out of a National Geographic magazine. Of course DH is enjoying them when I allow him to get close enough. Lol

  • Mine are worse with this second pregnancy! I swear from the day I conceived I have boulders in my bra. Walking up and down my stairs kills and all my bras are to small already :'(
  • I swear my boobs grew a cup size over night. Before I got my BFP, I looked down one day and thought "Woah, where did those come from?" I'm afraid they're going to give me away, lol, I've never had cleavage and lately it's out of control.

Mine are already 36DD, I really hope they don't get bigger but I think they already and mostly the left one :s  .  I need to go an buy a sleep bra, never used one but it has been suggested.  My mom claims her's were my size and then got bigger and stayed bigger, she got up to a G and only a width size 34.  She has the very impressive boob to waist ratio for real boobs, at her worst she was only size 14 and is 5'2.
  • What boobs?
  • Ha! The other day I was yelling at my husband and he started giggling. When I asked why he said because my nipples were so hard. I was already yelling at him to acknowledge that I am pregnant and to understand that I can feel this even if he doesn't see it yet so that just proved my point about how my body is changing. That ended the discussion and we both giggled. :)
  • This is my first pregnancy and I'm a little over 5 weeks, mine are very sore, very tender and sometimes I can see my veins. Is there anything that helps make them feel better?
  • I'm a G, I can't afford for these babies to get any bigger! Lol

  • @jhems776 I am in the same boat! I got a large sports bra/not super tight one and I wear that to bed and it has helped tremendously! And @Soon2bemissG so sorry!
  • Target has great sleep/nursing bras--highly recommend!
  • Mine are KILLING ME! I'm already a 36DD without all this, and I swear they are already bigger. I noticed some spillage over the cups already! UGH! And the cold- I can't take it! Everything I read says cold works better on them than warm, but any time my nipples get hard it's painful, and it's freaking constant! Even the thickest bras can't cover it up. UGH!

  • @SarahMConnors I am in the same boat...boobs are killing me, 36DD and noticed the spillage over the past few days...I swear last week the bra I am wearing had some room to spare in the cups but not anymore. The soreness really sucks, though...I can't even cross my arms now :(

  • @missfoxyleide I caved and bought two maternity bras, and OMG I'm in heaven! Target has them for fairly cheap. I got one maternity sleep bra for $13 and the other was a maternity/nursing bra for $23. They are so much more comfy. My boobs are still sore, but these bras feel much better than my old ones, and the sleeper one is great for around the house and sleeping.

I'm right there with you! The bras I'm wearing now are the ones I had when I was pregnant with my so. And they're already too small!! I'm scared to see what it's going to be at the end of pregnancy
  • Do the nursing bras allow you to grow in them or if we buy them now, could we outgrow them?

  • I went from a c to a dd. Bought a new bra today and it's so much better. I think I may go check out Target soon as well. That's a good find.
  • I went from an small A to a normal B in the last few weeks. I'm 10 weeks on Friday.
My nipples are twice the size but my breast are not hard rock and sore anymore.
    This is my 2nd pregnancy
With my first pregnancy my breast never stopped hurting through out the whole pregnancy and delivery until after the baby was 1 month.

so I'm wondering why mine aren't sore anymore. Strange.
  •  @blondie080300 The nursing bra I got is also a maternity bra, and it seems like it's more stretchy. I bought it in a larger cup size too just in case. The sleeper bra is the same, nice and stretchy so it let's you grow :)

  • @blondie080300  I would anticipated outgrowing nursing bras when your milk comes in. The girls get BIG when the milk comes in. Also, I used different types of bras in pregnancy vs when breastfeeding. I need support, so I got lined, underwire nursing bras during pregnancy. However, underwires can cause problems with blocked ducts and milk production, so I got nursing bras with no lining and no underwire. They were stretchy and comfy and amazing. I hated going back when I stopped breastfeeding.

@Cassandraspregnacy2 My boobs were painful my whole pregnancy and post partum with my first as well, and this time I have very little breast pain. I've read it a normal for them to hurt less the second time. And my SIL told me hers never even hurt in her first pregnancy. Keep in mind, every pregnancy is different, even in the same woman. So I'm sure the explanation is that it's just different this time.  (On a hindnote, I did kind of wonder if mine hurt less this time because they got so beat up breastfeeding that they are used to pain. Haha.)

  • @camichael84
lol you're too funny, but it's probably true!
The girls do get beat up a bit while nursing!
  • I second what @camichael84 said about underwires in nursing bras. I had 3 cases of mastitis due to this and the bras or camis being too tight. I was going for extra support but ended up with really sore tatas :(
  • Itty bitty titty committee member chiming in here, but my eldest ran into my A's the other day for a hug and THE PAIN. MY NIPPLES.

@RedMar @camichael84 I totally gave up on underwire while nursing. It frustrates me enough even when my boobs aren't fluctuating 2~ cup sizes throughout the day. Just not gonna happen.

I wish I still had my breastfeeding boobs...
  • @RedMar Ugh, me too. I'll take what I can get, you know? Just like how I'm 5'1 (and 3/4ths, damnit) so I'm happy to tack on extra inches.

  • @RedMar Me, too. So far I've been unimpressed with my pregnancy boobs this time, and I highly suspect knowing what my BF boobs look like has something to do with it.

  • @Sporty1216 Thanks for the tip- saved my life I swear! Two new maternity bras from Target, and much comfier boobs. Still sore, but at least these new bras aren't contributing to the pain and suffering!

  • Sports bras are my friend. Love front close VS Sport. (incredible and knockout) They have officially become my everyday bra and there's no uni-boob!
