Tips on now to quit pumping and wean off?

I was pumping for almost first fourth months and then switched to nursing  for 2 weeks. Go masiatis or clogged ducts and now i want to be done it was scary. I'm back to pumping 5-6 times a day at 15-20 mins a piece. How can I wean off without getting sick? I surpassed my 4 month goal and it all be 5 months on the 18th. It's time to hang up my flanges. I'm feeling a little stressed, having issues in marriage right now, want my boobs back, want a little more sleep and simply wanna enjoy my time with my baby before I go back to work.. It's been hard to quit. I thought I would go 3 months and then till xmas now xmas is over... I think I just have to be brave. Tips? What's best cabbage leaves I between pumps or Benadryl? I want to safely dry up.

  • Reduce your pump time to 10 minutes. Wait 3 days, then drop a session. Drop a session every 3-4 days to give your body time to adjust.

  • I thought it was Sudafed, not Benadryl. Benadryl is an antihistamine. Sudafed dries up bodily fluids (like mucous and BM). I could be wrong but double check
  • Cabbage leaves on boobs
  • My lactation concultant said to skip pumping sessions...if you still get full to the point where it hurts just pump until the pain goes away & stop. If you have a hand pumpb pump with that because it doesn't completely drain you. You can also soak your breasts in hot water in the sink.
  • Rubbing nipples with soap when taking a shower can also help.
