How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Like an enormous version of myself that can't drink enough caffeine to make me happy. I am in a bit of a rut I suppose.
Prenatal appointment news/updates: I haven't had an appointment since my a/s. I don't have another one until 2/11, but it will include another u/s to check on some heart stuff.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? Shopping for DSs new bedroom. Getting caught up on sleep. Eating comfort food.

How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? I feel good overall aside from the annoying congestion, RLP, etc. but I'd say overall I feel a million times better than I did in my first tri so there's that. I feel like this week is such a useless week to me because I can't wait to get to 20 weeks! (I think I've shared before for some reason I think it will feel more real when I hit 1/2 way?). My bump is def getting bigger now, people are commenting at work!
Prenatal appointment news/updates: Anatomy scan one week from today... feels like its been ages since we've gone so I'm so anxious!! Also reading everyone's heartbreaking updates about issues found at the scan has me very nervous. My heart aches every time someone gets less than perfect news! I hadn't even been concerned about that (blissful ignorance) until seeing so many posts lately.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? I updated on the Friday check-in but I'll share here too... Tonight dinner with one of my best friends & her boyfriend. We haven't seen them since early December so I'm looking forward to catching up. Tomorrow night is my sisters 40th birthday party so we'll be heading up north to see my family (always love to see them), though I have nothing "party" to wear...
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? I have been sleeping like crap lately--waking up 6+ times a night and I'm just tired of feeling tired.
Rave: I think I'm finally going to be able to go to a store and look at double strollers and diaper bags this weekend.
Prenatal appointment news/updates: I don't have an appointment until February 16, but I will have an ultrasound again then because they couldn't get at the pictures they needed at my a/s.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? Making a short list of preschools for DD, shopping for strollers and diaper bags, cleaning out the nursery and old guest room so DD can have her playroom back.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? No major changes here. Some RLP, pelvic pain is worse some days than others, I was super hungry the past 2 days. See below for rant...
Prenatal appointment news/updates: We had the a/s last Friday and most everything looked great! My placenta is low so they'll check it again in 8 weeks to make sure it moves up and out of the way. We also found out baby girl has a short nasal bone and I was referred to a specialist/genetic counselor. I went in this morning and they did another u/s and then I met with the counselor. They noted today that the veins to her kidneys are enlarged and that is also a marker for Down syndrome. It seems like that changed in the last week because it wasn't on the previous report. Between my age and that factor, there's still a pretty small chance of DS but it's increased. When I asked about the short nasal bone (measuring in the 5th percentile), she told me there isn't enough data to give me a risk factor. If the nasal bone is absent the risk is as high as 1 in 5. Well, that's pretty big gap from the 1 in 260 she put me at. I felt so frustrated at the lack of definitive answers! We didn't do any screening so I opted to do a cell free DNA blood draw rather than jump right to amnio. I was fighting back tears of frustration while I waited and broke down while driving home. H couldn't come to the appointment but was at home when I got here and I'm so glad. I cried for a little while and told him about the appointment. I'm obviously worried about baby but I was more upset at the lack of information. It was so frustrating! Why is this still such a guessing game? I'm feeling better now that I'm home with my dog. I think I'm going to go out and get a Blizzard to treat myself. We'll have results in 1-2 weeks and at least then we'll have a pretty clear idea of what's going on.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? We're going for a hike tomorrow! I'm really looking forward to it. We're also picking up a crib I ordered from Target and probably not much else.

How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? exhausted I keep getting hip pain while I sleep so I am constantly tossing and turning. My in laws surprised me with a new crib and mattress which is a huge shock because we do not have a great relationship.
Prenatal appointment news/updates: will not have another appointment until the 11th.I am high risk because of my hypertension background so I will be spending my weekend doing a 24hr urine test.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? Nothing DH has to work and I have to do a 24 hr urine test.

How are you feeling? Rants/Raves?
Feeling pretty good overall. So different from 1st trimester. Rant- I fell today. I'm fine, so stupid, I'm usually so good watching where I'm going but I was talking with a couple friends on the way to lunch and tripped on the curb. I fell on my side/butt so I'm sure everything is fine.
Prenatal appointment news/updates:
Monday I had my A/S. Everything seemed to fine, so that's good. The tech said that nothing jumped out at her as abnormal. I'll go over the report with my doctor on the 9th. We will find out the sex on Sunday!
GTKY: Any weekend plans?
My friend has the envelope the ultra sound tech gave me, which says what we are having. Her and her husband are the only people other than the medical professionals that know the sex. She's making a gender reveal cake for us and we are inviting our parents and siblings over so we'll all find out together!

@pbear93 I had a lot of trouble sleeping this week too. It's lousy!
@nicknshan have fun shopping! I felt stretched to the max yesterday and with the limited rest was just miserable waiting for Friday to end. On top of it, I wore a fitted maternity shirt to show off my bump and several times people stopped me to say- 'you've finally popped!' Then: 'How far along are you now?' Then: 'really?! You're so small. You look like me after I eat a pizza!' Grrrrr. It was almost verbatim for each person! Like, I feel gross and stretched out and it's enough that you noticed and commented but then you felt the need to tell me it's too small? Gah! Just shut up and move over so I can waddle by.

We had our a/s yesterday, and an OB appt. Here we don't get the results right away, so I have to wait until my next OB appt (March 10) to hear about the a/s unless something is wrong & we are asked to come in sooner. In this case, no news is good news.

Prenatal appointment news/updates: A/S on Monday. I'm eager for it, but nervous.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? Getting ready to head to Home Depot. Buying grout for the backsplash. And trying to wrap our breakfast bar. The shoe scuffs are driving me insane and the builder paint rubs off when you try to clean it. Attached a picture of what I'm going for if anyone is interested. It will be the same ivory as the existing trim though.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? I'm starting to get backaches more frequently, but I can feel her move a lot more. DH and I love laying in bed and watching my belly jump everytime she kicks.
Prenatal appointment news/updates: I have to go back for a follow up ultrasound in the 9th because they couldn't get great pictures of her heart at our antamony scan.
GTKY: Any weekend plans? Absolutely nothing! We are just planning on hanging out at home and enjoying the great weather we have been having so far.

Prenatal appointment news/updates:
I have so many appointments coming up I have lost count. I will start going weekly soon since I'm high risk. Fetal echo is next, then another level 2 two weeks after that along with meeting with genetic counselor and appointment with high risk, then 2 weeks after all that we have to travel out of town for the pediatric orthopedist about her clubbed food. Then a week after that I will begin my weekly visits.

we had a yard sale this morning and I'm exhausted. Tomorrow we have a baby shower and then going to a massive kids consignment sale. So excited to buy ALLLLL the girly stuff for baby girl! Shopping for my son is boring...
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Feeling mostly good, been having SPD pain for about a week now which makes rolling over in bed, getting out of bed and walking uncomfortable. Certain exercises are painful now too so I'm having to modify even more now. Also been breaking out more which is annoying! I had some light spotting on Thursday which I'm 99.9% sure was due to sex the night before. I didn't freak out or call my Dr until I read on line that if you are Rh- (I am) that you need to have a rhogam shot after any spotting/bleeding. So I called my Dr on Friday and of course they wanted me to have the shot. It doesn't make sense because I honestly bled more after my 1st vaginal u/s and they didn't mention the shot then. Anyways had to run to the pharmacy to get it since my Dr office doesn't keep it in house. And I had to fight with my insurance company to cover it because they wanted me to have a specialty out of state pharmacy fill it. No time for that because I had to get the shot before my Dr office closed for the weekend and its supposed to be done within I think 24-72 hours of any bleeding. Thankfully they did a 1 time emergency override. Otherwise it would have been over $100 out of pocket!
