Symptoms: CHARLEY HORSES EVERY DAY!!! I'm freakin miserable. I drink water all the time I swear. Swelling hands, legs, feet. Restlessness. My insides are bulging outside. I'm so miserable this time around, I don't recall having symptoms like this with my other babies. This little guy must be extra special or he's going to be an extra handful. :P
Rants/Raves/Stories: Although I have 11 weeks to go, I already feel like this.
Upcoming Appointments: I have my 1 hour glucose this afternoon. Then I'm going to see if there's anything I can do about all these damn charley horses than what I have been doing.
Questions: Anyone else have a symptom that's driving them over the edge?
GTKY: What is your favorite pre-baby project or purchase so far? I cleaned my room. I know to some that might not be a big deal but my room was a mountain of clothes and bins everywhere. The crib was in pieces and there was no sign this baby is coming. Our room is spotless, the crib has been set up (solely by me) and the baby's clothes are put away in his drawers. Just waiting for my crib mattress to be delivered and the diaper stacker / organizer and maybe a going home outfit and I'm set.
Week/Fruit: 29/cauliflower [must be the biggest f'ing cauliflower ever...]
Symptoms: Lots of low back and hip pain this week, making sleeping difficult. Much more tired than previous weeks. More nosebleeds, yuck. Have been feeling a lot more movement and baby actually kicked while the nurse was checking her heartbeat yesterday with my shirt pushed up - so weird to see the involuntary belly bouncing like that!
Rants/Raves/Stories: Rants mostly involve failing the 1-hour glucose test. I decided to forego the 3-hour test based on how miserable I felt after the 1-hour, so I'm proceeding as if I failed the 3-hour and will be testing blood sugar/making some diet modifications (mostly just not eating so many sweets). Trying to get testing supplies has been a PITA. On the plus side, I found out my insurance will cover the Medela PISA - had previously been told that only rental of a hospital-grade pump was covered. Yay!
Upcoming Appointments: Had GD consult yesterday, which was next to useless. Next OB appt is 2/11.
Questions: Nothing this week.
GTKY: What is your favorite pre-baby project or purchase so far? Hmmm, probably the baby carrier I bought? Although now that I'm realizing how much more we need to get/pay for, I'm sort of having buyer's remorse over having spent as much as I did. I have to keep reminding myself we will get a lot of use out of it, and that resale value should be decent if we keep it in good shape.
Week/Fruit: 30/Cucumber. Really? I don't really get these fruits/vegetable comparisons. I've got something much bigger than a cucumber in there.
Symptoms: Tired. Really tired. Also- since I am sick this week with a nasty cold I've been sneezing an awful lot. And peeing my pants while sneezing an awful lot. So embarassing! Glad it happens at home only ( so far!) and the heartburn is terrible!
Rants/Raves/Stories: NOT looking forward to the 3 hour glucose test tomorrow.
Upcoming Appointments: 3 hour GTT tomorrow. Next OB appt is 2/16
Questions: No questions atm
GTKY: What is your favorite pre-baby project or purchase so far? Cleaning out the junk in the apartment. It's nice to HAVE to do it. The place is starting to look good!
Week/Fruit: 30 weeks!!!! Woohoo!! A giant cucumber! lol
Symptoms: Heartburn still. Also, the rages have returned. People be trippin'.
Rants/Raves/Stories: I am not terribly excited to go try on Bridesmaids dresses tomorrow for my sister's June wedding.
Upcoming Appointments: Feb. 8/9 OB and Specialist, respectively.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite pre-baby project or purchase so far? Putting the crib together and taking the plastic off the crib mattress last weekend made shit super real. 10 more weeks! (I hope)
Week/Fruit: 28/ coconut (3rd tri - been feeling left out after all the other posts about the home stretch)
Symptoms: hunger
Rants/Raves/Stories: so ready to be moved into the new house and to be able to set up for baby
Upcoming Appointments: glucose test next Friday and an ultrasound - hoping the excitement over seeing baby for the first time in 2 months outweighs my glucose test fears
Questions: none right now
GTKY: What is your favorite pre-baby project or purchase so far? Hmm... probably our baby carriers - excited to see the little snuggle bug in them
