Fertility Friend Question

I don't know how many of you use Fertility Friend, but I only used it for a few cycles before my second BFP in November and then I stopped temping and doing anything with it. I am now two weeks post D&C and will start temping again soon but my FF looks all wonky and I can't figure out how to tell it I miscarried. Does anyone know how to 'reset' it or tell it there was a MC? Worst case, I delete the app and start over. I will also post in the infertility board since I'm sure there are a lot of FF users there as well. Thanks!!

Just enter your miscarriage as a period.

I think the general "rule of thumb" for it is that if you have a natural MC you enter the days the bled as the days of your "period" and if you have a D&C you enter that day as the day of your "period" along with any days of bleeding afterward. There is also a box you can check under specifics with all the symptoms that says "miscarriage." Checking it off on the cycle you got pregnant will take away the green "you're pregnant!" line from that cycle.

I'm sorry for your loss. Miscarriage isn't ever really something we plan on having to know how to deal with.

If if you go into the "Specifics" section you can choose miscarriage, and the set the day of your m/c or D&C as CD1.

You can also go into the app and tell it to ignore that cycle from your statistics - if the cycle is long enough it may automatically do this but you can go in and check. And if your first cycle back is wonky you can tell it to ignore it (that's what I've done - my ovulation was later, but I think that was the MC affecting the cycle not how I regularly am).

Go Analysis -> cycle statistics
scroll down and you can select which cycles to include in your stats.

Oh wow! Thank you everyone. I was starting to get really frustrated with the stupid app but I'm sure I can figure it out now.

@aera11 - by all means ask questions - I'm pretty new to the app too (within the last month) so this thread could be quite helpful. One of the most common pieces of advice I've seen in the past month is to start temping... Apparently FF also often has sales - announced in app, on twitter and/or on facebook. I think I got a year at 40-50% off. And you can pause your membership when you get a BFP.

Edit - sorry - hit post before I finish my thoughts - another thing about purchasing membership - they tack on your membership to whatever remains of your free period - so if you decide 15 days into using it that you want to keep using it, you don't have to wait until the end of the free 30 days to maximize your membership - which is great if you see a good sale.

Thank you @catiecatp, that's good to know! Yeah I was relatively new to it too & mainly used it to track temps (I did a regular chart for my RE but my phone is next to my bed with the thermometer so it was easy to do first thing) and add in any symptoms. I don't know if it ever had my O quite right, but between that and the OPK's I could usually get a few days overlapping.

in my TTTC board there are lots of experienced FF users, so that was always a great place for me to post questions. I haven't been able to bring myself to go back and be reinstated just yet.
