Unhappy baby

I am starting to think something is wrong . My LO is 15 weeks and is only smiley for like the first 25 mins after she wakes up then she has to be walked around sitting up to keep her content ? She has a playmat that she will play in for a while and other toys but it usually doesn't last long before she is in tears .she hates the swing and the momma roo .  I always get her to nap every two hours because she will just become more difficult . She is a crap napper and at night sleeps from 7pm to 5am . I EBF but she has been a hater baby since 6 weeks we have had to walk with her to keep her content . I am starting to think at 15 weeks there my be other issues? I  going to talk to her pedi about it at the next appointment but whenever I talk to my mom or mil they just claim all babies are like that and there is nothing wrong . So putting it out to you ladies does this sound normal for this age ?

Re: Unhappy baby

  • We have days like that but not every day.  My son is always happiest in the mornings as well.  Trust your gut momma.  Can't hurt to bring it up with your pediatrician.   She could be a difficult baby or it could be something else, maybe an allergy or reflux?  Good luck getting it figured out.

My baby is 14 weeks and she has been soooo fussy like an hour or so after she wakes up ... I told my husband if feels like two weeks now but he said probably only a week of this. She has never been a fussy baby so it's hard for me to deal with.

I think I have finally figured out that she is getting overtired. Like totally has a meltdown. Like she's hungry but will only eat while I hold her while walking around. Can't sit down, can't use the boppy, can't sit her in her sit up me seat lol

Personally I feel like it's just a mixture of just plain baby stuff for us. Between wonder weeks, growth spurts, possibly getting ready to teethe and just all that's going on around her that's new and strange and exciting all at the same time I would cry too lol

I read online that a light can overstimulate a baby ... A light  !!! :anguished:

I literally have had to stop doing research about it because it has been driving me up the wall. Going with the flow and taking it one episode at a time has helped me keep my sanity and just being compassionate toward her and tell her it's okay we will get through this and sure enough we do

Of course it can't hurt to ask her dr if you are worried. But know you are so not alone ... Hang in there I know how hard it is. :disappointed:
  • Are you sure LO can see and hear okay? I had a friend who was legally blind, and her parents didn't catch it until she was several months old. She would never smile, and then once they gave her glasses she never stopped smiling!
