Week/ fruit: 26 weeks, I don't know the fruit, but something I read says red cabbage.

Rants/raves/symptoms: So many bladder kicks! Which is both a rant and a rave. I love the movement, but the location makes the kicks uncomfortable and is also a reminder that baby boy is still breech. I've had some lower back pain creeping in when I do certain things-- like dishes-- in which I have to angle my body oddly to fit, or bend over a bunch. My feet have started to swell a bit by the end of the workday too. BH pretty much daily too.

Upcoming appointments: Today for a regular OB visit and Monday for my first Webster-technique chiropractor visit (I'm hoping to stave off this lower back pain, and also give this LO the best chance of turning head down on his own since-- and time to get there before 36w when they'll likely schedule a rcs for 38 or 39w if he hasn't turned.)

Questions for the group: Should we start throwing Wednesday in with our ticker change day? They haven't been doing their own, and other days have combined into pairs/triads by this point.

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately?
I had a dream that my teeth rotted, which was awful. I think it may be my psyche's way of trying to curb these tired-sugar cravings.

  • Week/ fruit: 25 cauliflower

Rants/raves/symptoms: more back pain and shortness of breath, but nothing awful. Love feeling more and more consistent kicks! We moved this weekend and I definitely overdid it, but I was feeling much better by Tuesday.

Upcoming appointments: Feb 2, which will include my glucose test

Questions for the group: I'm all for combining with Wednesday.

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? (Shamelessly stolen from M/T) last night I dreamed I was in Africa, so that was a little different as I have never been. There's usually something a little unusual every night, but nothing really downright bizarre.
  • Week/ fruit: 25 cauliflower

Rants/raves/symptoms: I think the insomnia has started! Hopefully I will get some sleep tonight. At the end of yoga class we usually relax for 5 min, of course this is when baby goes crazy :)

Upcoming appointments: next week, glucose test

    Questions for the group: none

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? (Shamelessly stolen from M/T)
I have had several where the baby pushes it's face up against my belly and I can see it's face clearly. Cool, but also a creepy dream. I think it's from watching the show Grimm

  • @kbrands7 I'm good with adding Wednesday, the more the merrier!
  • Two yes votes is good enough for me, I'll add them in.
  • Good idea adding Wed!

Week/ fruit: 24 - cantaloupe... viability week!

Rants/raves/symptoms: Rave - I feel pretty great overall, Rant - So hungry and I gained 8 lbs last month, Symptoms - not a whole lot really, last night after playing volleyball I had bad stomach pain.  I don't think it was related to the activity though.

Upcoming appointments:  I just had one on Monday, so I'll have another in 3.5 weeks, then every other week!

Questions for the group: I feel like we are getting so close to baby being here.  Is anyone else scared of all the stuff they need to do yet???

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? (Shamelessly stolen from M/T)  Not totally weird, just really vivid.

  • Week/ fruit: 26 weeks, head of lettuce.

Rants/raves/symptoms: I can no longer eat a lot at one time. I don't mind all the little snacks, but it kills me with heartburn and no room when I eat a lot at once.

Upcoming appointments: In two weeks I will have my regular appointment and glucose test. My doctor use to let us pick out favorite candy bar and a can of soda for the test. His policy has since changed and I now have to drink the drink. I am not looking forward to it. I always looked forward to that glorious Dr. Pepper and Snickers!!

Questions for the group: I am all in for adding Wednesday (since that is the day for me!)

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately?
I have had NO dreams this pregnancy. With my others I had the dreams about my teeth, dreams about my delivery and the nurses; or even dreams that were just really clear. This time... nothing!

  • Week/ fruit: 23/ grapefruit/papaya

Rants/raves/symptoms: I'm right there with you @kbrands7 this baby is kicking me in the bladder a lot. Movements are getting stronger, which I love! Rants: migraines, low energy, and generally feeling wiped out. I think having a toddler at home and also being pregnant is tougher than I thought it would be.

    Upcoming appointments: Feb 11th

Questions for the group: no questions. I'm good for adding weds.

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? (Shamelessly stolen from M/T) no weird dreams lately, and I'm thankful for that.
  • Week/ fruit: 23/ grapefruit

Rants/raves/symptoms: LO's movements are getting stronger, which is both really neat and also really weird. I'm hoping they'll be strong enough for MH to feel soon. He keeps trying to feel when I say I'm feeling movement, but he hasn't felt anything yet. No other symptoms. I feel great lately. Hopefully it will last for a while.

Upcoming appointments: Feb 4th for my glucose test.  I'm dreading the drink because I HATE sweet drinks!

Questions for the group: Do you have any Valentine's Day plans?  What, if anything, are you getting your SO for Valentine's Day?

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? (Shamelessly stolen from M/T) Not for a few nights now, but all of my dreams (even normal ones) are really vivid.
  • @js8812 yes! I was anxious because i haven't read the chapters about once baby arrives yet on my books, maybe I can read some this weekend
@swflJD my DH will actually be around this year, usually he is on an ice fishing trip. We will likely do dinner and a movie, I got him a cute card :)
  • @js8812 Yes, I'm stressing about the amount of things we still need to do. MH finished painting and hanging the wainscoting boards in the nursery earlier this week, but he still needs to finish the trim in there. Our nursery furniture came in on Monday, but it's still in giant boxes in the living room to be unpacked and put together. Our guest room has boxes and random items from the office-turned-nursery room stacked against every wall that I need to get rid of/find places for.  I haven't been able to park in our garage in months because we've had huge stacks of tile piled in the middle of it.  We finally finished tiling the living room, kitchen, dining room, spare bath, and hallways, so the piles are smaller, but there's still a stack left to finish tiling our master bathroom.  I had wanted to do our full kitchen reno before LO got here, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen before May. What do you guys have left to do?
  • @ kbrands7  Will you (or can you) do a version if you are still breech 35-37weeks, or not?  You are a vbac, right?  Hope LO flips!

  • @swflJD We are in reno mode right now, too.  New carpet is coming the 2nd/3rd week of Feb., so I've held off on ordering furniture until that's done.  I feel like there is so much to do!  A client of mine just had their baby two months early and all I could think was sh*t... that could be me! :scream:

@jennys86 yep, hoping to vac. I have a heart shaped uterus though, so they won't try a version. I'm hoping for him to be able to flip on his own, but preparing for a rcs just in case too.
  • kbrands7   Got it.  I was curious if they would even do a version on a vbac.  I am a repeat c-section (at Magee Womens- you're in Western PA too, right?)
    Flip, baby, Flip!!

Thanks for the good vibes! I'm a Pittsburgher too! I work down the street from Magee, but I'm delivering at Heritage Valey Sewickley because it's closer to home, and partnered with my OB/GYN group.
  • @kbrands7 I have heard that having dreams about your teeth rotting means you are thinking about your looks a lot. I think it's because that's one of the first things people see. During pregnancy I would think this could be true, at least for me.

    Week/ fruit: 23 Grapefruit

Rants/raves/symptoms: These hip cramps at night are the worst. I don't remember getting them during my last pregnancy, so I'm hoping he is just in a weird spot and moves at some point.

Upcoming appointments: Not until next month :(

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? (Shamelessly stolen from M/T) I have had soooo many erotic dreams. Other than that, nothing weird.

  • Week/ fruit: 24/ Cantaloupe

Rants/raves/symptoms: Stronger kicks and the beginning of some back and pelvic pain (thanks a lot relaxin!)

Upcoming appointments: Just had one this past Tuesday and another scheduled for Feb 23 (glucose tolerance test)

Questions for the group: Nothing I can think of

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? Hmm - nothing that comes to mind. I feel like I was having really vivid dreams a couple of weeks ago, but not as memorable lately.

  • Week/ fruit: 24/Cantaloupe

Rants/raves/symptoms: Feeling LO move is simultaneously so awesome and weird! Also, I think she's changed position...I was initially feeling movement primarily around my belly button, but now it's all below that area. Maybe she's transverse now, or dropped a little lower?

Upcoming appointments: Feb 2nd. Thankfully I won't be doing the glucose screening until my 28 week appointment...though I kind of wish it was this week so that I could just get it over with already.

Questions for the group: I've been hearing so many horror stories about the glucose screening and the gross drink, and it has me worried because anything too sweet makes me nauseous. I've heard both good and bad things about the orange flavor and the fruit punch, but are there any others? Is the drink carbonated or is it flat? I just want to know which one is least likely to make me throw up. :P

GTKY: Any weird pregnancy dreams lately? I had a nightmare that I gave birth to a toddler. It wasn't the birth part that was scary though...it was the tantrum she immediately threw afterwards.
    Pregnancy Ticker

  • @mrsktobe09 I think which flavors are offered depends on the office. Mine gave a choice of lime or fruit punch with my last pregnancy (I haven't done mine yet this time). I chose lime because even regular fruit punch tastes too sweet to me. It wasn't awful, but not something I'd like to drink unless I had to. Some offices offer orange as an option too.
  • @MrsKtobe09 my doctor's office offered the orange or fruit punch. I asked the nurse's opinion, and she said she hears less complaints about fruit punch, so that's what I chose. It does not look to be carbonated. I do plan to eat regular oatmeal (not the maple/sugar prepackaged stuff) the morning of the test. I am worried the drink will be too sugary and make me sick to my stomach. Hopefully oatmeal will help me not feel that way.
