A/S appointment today...feeling scared!

We had our Anatomy scan and big 20 week appointment today and were so excited to find out the gender but were quickly deflated when our doctor came into the room...
Not it only could I see in his face that something was wrong m, but he was obviously upset, jittery and had a hard time looking at us... He told us that there is a concerning amount of fluid in the stomach and the diaphragm is not delevopes to the point it should be. There was something about a possible hernia but I honestly had gone kind of out if it by then. He said we were going to be scheduled for an appointment at our specialist hospital ASAP and prepared us that they'd most likely suggest an amniocentesis.
I know there are other moms on here that have had to play the waiting game, and that is honestly the worst part. I know that we could find out anything from the scan was inaccurate and everything is fine, to our baby has a chromosomal issue like one that would affect baby's ability to survive out of the womb. And the not knowing is scaring me to death....
