4 syllable Portuguese surname....

Starts with DeO. Is Evangeline too much? Middle name Mae.

My full short list right now:

Edith (Edie) Ann
Matilda (Tillie) Ann
Evangeline (Evie) Mae
Annabelle (Annie) Mae

Big sister's Lucy and Violet.

We're trying to incorporate Ann (an) in there somewhere. And Mae is in honor of a lost friend.

    I feel like Evangeline doesn't go well with your other daughters. It's such a big namr compared to Lucy and Violet.

    I prefer Edith or Matilda.

    I think Evangeline and Annabelle are both too much. Edith Ann gets my vote. Edith Mae sounds nice too.

    I disagree with the other posters. I think that Evangeline goes with your other childrens names just fine. Annabelle and Mathilda are also excellent choices. Edith is not a very pretty sounding name, and with your sibset it just doesn't go, it's not nearly as cute, way too old-lady-ish.

    Love Matilda Mae. Ann works too but for me Matilda Mae is so sweet.

    The poem is the #1 reason this is in my list. My grandmother had the book circa 1913. I grew up admiring it on her bookshelf. It's one of the few things I have of hers.

    @jenmlangtake2 oh what a lovely family keepsake! We're huge book people so that'd be the best heirloom.

    I'm 1/4 Acadien from Nova Scotia (where fictional Evangeline was deported from) so it's a special poem.
