1st Trimester

Crazy hormones

Hello ladies :) anyone else being a complete b**** and secretly enjoying it? I'm 11 weeks and instead of being emotional and crying, I've just been yelling at people. It's horrible! I work as a manager at a store and I find myself daily kicking people out because I don't like how they are talking to me or other silly little reason for which I would usually have the patients to deal with. Is this going to last throughout the pregnancy? I know I shouldn't enjoy it this much. It bugs me.

I think there's a difference between hormones and being an ass.
I don't secretly enjoy anything about hormones.  There's nothing enjoyable about breaking down at a moment's notice, giving my husband unnecessary attitude, or anything that goes along with that.
I think a lot of women try to justify their behavior with the 'hormones' excuse, but it really isn't.  At the end of the day, I'm the only one responsible for how I act, and I still have a job to do....so I smile and nod, then break down in the restroom if I'm absolutely losing my mind, but being a bitch and enjoying it?  Yeah, not so much.....

  • here we go again. Grown women blaming hormones for enjoying being nasty to people.

What is wrong with people?! Take control of your actions and be an adult. Also, I don't know what kind of store you work for, but I hope your newfound behavior doesn't get you fired.
  • My tolerance for BS has been reduced and I might not be as friendly towards my customers, but I've not been outright rude to them. A PPs have said, you are an adult and should be in control of your emotions or at the very least the things you let come out of your mouth (morning sickness excluded).

  • No excuse at all. We cant control how we feel inside, but we can control how we react. At 33 weeks i cant even count how many times ive had to take a deep breath before responding to some idiot, but apart from the fact that i work in a very professional environment and would lose my job if i behaved like you, its just not the adult way to act. And no there is no way i 'secretly enjoy' when i accidentally snap at someone who doesnt deserve it, i feel terrible and go and apologise for MY behaviour
  • I've got the problem of wanting to argue. . Then cry weird... my bf got my back.. he goes along with it then lets me cry on his shoulder. We cuddle in bed following ...him putting lotion all over me so I can relax. Its going to b along 8 months I hate hormones
  • No, I don't "enjoy being a complete -----" under ANY circumstances-- pregnant or not.

You may want to consider reevaluating your behavior, otherwise you may end up burning some major bridges with the people in your life. You will find that most people do not consider pregnancy as a reasonable excuse for acting rude
