I made it over to the PA35 group!!! woohoo! (Intro)

I just had my first beta today (10.5 dpFET) and it was 593.  I had been trying to conceive for over 6 years and finally with the help of IVF and my wonderful RE, I got my first ever BFP!  This is will be our first and it may include a second if we find twins in the ultrasound in a few weeks!  I'm in Virginia and am an avid fan of Walt Disney World and Disney/Pixar in general.  I also covet Chick-fil-a.  I can't wait to participate here and join in your discussions!!!!

    Also, the northeast needs more Chick-fil-a.

    YAY!  So happy to see you here @Piperella!!  That's an awesome beta!  I've come to realize lower betas don't necessarily mean one baby (got faked out by that one), but that's a pretty good one! :) 

    And I "heart" Chick-fil-A.  They are springing up all over here in Minnesota!!

    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

    @emsmama15, I had this "goal" in my head for my beta to be 114-241 (I don't know.. those numbers just popped into my head earlier today).  Then when we heard 593, my DH starts searching and he's like.. omg.. he got so pasty white.  Needless to say he's staying off Dr. Google for awhile and is focusing on his computer games.  I'm now just so giddy and excited it worked.. and now it's like.. HOLY COW.  I did have chick-fil-a for breakfast after the beta.  

    I might need a nap.  This excitement is crazy.

    What's your EDD at this point, @piperella?

    Also. Now I want chick-fil-a even though the way they spell their name DRIVES ME CRAZY! I say it chick filla (like fella with an I) because that's how it looks to me.

    @Sporty1216, my EDD is currently 10/2.  I call it "chick fill it" I always get the dash places mixed up.

    Awesome! An early October birthday sounds great! That ought to be a pretty time of year in Virginia too, right? I'm already anticipating that with a mid-September due date there is going to be a lot of sweating and water-retention going on in third tri, but I'm irrationally excited about maternity maxi dresses and swimming at the pool without giving one care! :)

    @Piperella your strength and patience have been such an inspiration to me, and I am so so happy you go here now!     I'm so glad you're here!!!  --You'll never be able to figure out twins from betas. Like @emsmama15 said, she thought hers were too low for that and she's having twins. And mine was over 20,600 at 5 weeks and I just have one in there. You'll just have to wait and see. Good luck!!!

    BFP 11/18/15  •  DD born at 41 weeks <3(age 37/38)

    BFP 10/18/17  •  MMC found at 8 wks  •  Misoprostal at 10.5 wks (age 39)

    BFP 4/13/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks      •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
    9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
    RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

    BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    So glad you're here! I have a friend who had girl/boy twins through IVF. The boy looks a lot like her and the girl looks a lot like her husband. It's perfect :)

    Welcome, @Piperella and congrats on your BFP and awesome betas! I had the opposite experience of @emsmama15 in that my high betas and progesterone were what first made me suspect that I might be pregnant with twins. You just never know! Best wishes for you!

    Thank you all for the warm welcome!  I'm sorry I made you all so hungry for chicken.  Tonight is grilled cheese.  I haven't seen The Good Dinosaur yet because my IVF stim meds made me a wreck and I didn't want to be bawling in the theater.  I cannot wait for it to come to DVD/Redbox.  @Goldsgirl9 - I'll definitely need to get some advice from you on being at WDW because I am going there for girls vacation & a conference during weeks 10-12.

    Argh, @Piperella I wish I read your post before I went to the grocery store. Nothing sounded good for lunch and now I desperately want grilled cheese and some tomato soup.
