  I had my first appointment today. Baby measured exactly 7w1d and had a heart rate of 154. It was so great! To be honest, while I'm so grateful for this pregnancy, I have been freaking out about having another baby while my husband and I are still working so much, and seeing the heart beat was so reassuring.  I am officially 100% excited (...well maybe still just a few percent terrified). Also, he was able to see the heart beat and baby with a transabdominal ultrasound which was surprising.   
  
  Okay AW over. I hope those of you with appointments join me!! (Edited to remove a few things so it was less dear diary.)

  I had my first appt yesterday and had a dating scan. Baby measured one day ahead and had a nice heartbeat at 144 bpm. I agree with being reassured with feelings of excitement after seeing the little bean on the screen. I've been stressed and nervous about adding baby #3 to the mix, but a lot of my worries faded away yesterday.

  I will say that I'm jealous.. My first appointment is on Thursday and there won't be an ultrasound or heartbeat. Just playing 21 questions with the doc and lots of blood to be taken. But I am excited for our first appointment!

  Love this post! My first appointment was yesterday - I dated 5 days less than lmp which wasn't surprising as I ovulate late. That puts me at 7W2days today. Got to see and hear the heartbeat (baby looked like it was clapping but the "hands" were really the heart beating) which was perfect at 141 bpm. The baby also moved which surprised me! It was more of an odd twist type movement since, well, it doesn't have legs or arms but still super cool.
  
  It baffles me that my doctor still wants my life history every time I go. I've been at this practice for 4 years, and I saw you 3 months ago. Not much has changed. I'm sure there's a good reason but it sure makes for lengthy first appointments...

  Had an appointment today and a second ultrasound because I've had some concerning cramping and bleeding. Baby is perfect and measuring right on track time at 8w 1d. We have the OB interview Thursday.

  I actually scheduled my first appointment for next Thursday. So maybe next week I'll have more info to post.

  Had our first appt today! Heart beat was a healthy and strong 175!  Baby bean is measuring 8 weeks but he kept my due date at 9/2, even though at 8 weeks should be more like 9/7, but whateves Im just so happy to see the little nugget and hear that heart beat!
