Bleeding

Hi ladies just wondering if anyone is still bleeding after bub. I've been bleeding for 7 weeks straight it's still heavy with pain and now sickness my doc said it's all normal but it doesn't feel normal anyone else experencing this??

I was bleeding bright red blood until my doctor put in my IUD at my 4 week pp appt. Now I have light spotting (it'll be 1 week on Tuesday).

Btw, my doctor said 800 mg of ibuprofen will help stop the pp bleeding.

I stopped bleeding around week 3 though everyone is different. I would think if you're still bleeding and it's week 7, there may be something wrong? Also if you're doing a lot of strenuous things, that may also cause the continued bleeding. If it doesn't stop soon, I'd get a second opinion.

Is it possible you've gotten your period? Even if you're EBF you can still get it right away.

I'm almost 6 weeks PP and still bleeding off and on. It will stop for like 2 days and then bam floodgates open again.

Week 1only saw blood when peeing
Week 2-3 bleeding like a period
Week 3-6 spotting
Week 7 completely ended

I had a c section and am EBF. I don't know if that matters.

Average bleeding is 6 weeks but that does depend on the woman. Some bleed less or even longer in your case. I bled 6 weeks after my first child, 4 weeks after my second and about 2 weeks very lightly after my third. If your DR is not concerned then I wouldn't worry. It sounds very normal.

I only bled for about 4 weeks and haven't had any since then. I had a vaginal delivery.

I stopped bleeding from birth at 5 weeks and I just stared back light bleeding today at 6 weeks PP. but I've had very mild cramping and other symptoms of my period so I'm guessing that's what it is.

I'm 6 and change. I might still be bleeding. I don't know. It stopped for a week or so. Now SOMETHING has started back up but it might be a period.

I seriously don't know whether i'm coming or going.

I'm 5weekks PP and still bleeding like a bright red color. I have my 6 weeks check up next week, hoping doctor can give me more answers. I'm also taking the shot for BC so hopefully that helps. Does anyone know if the Ibprofuen helps?

I am almost 5 weeks post c-section. The bleeding had let up some but past 2 days it's as heavy as a period with some period-like clot passing so I am wondering if that's what it is? I am so sick of bleeding! But more so I am sick of these stupid pads. When can I wear a tampon?

@dmendo01 probably after you have your postpartum checkup if you haven't already. Your doc will examine you and make sure your everything is ok and will give you the green light

This makes me feel so much better, to hear that other girls are still bleeding 6 weeks and on. I was so worried since my bleeding hasn't stopped at 6 weeks... my followup appt is tomorrow
