My husband and I are ttc after a loss in July. We haven't been having any luck but recently my body has been freaking me out. I have been bleeding off and on for about 4-5 days now. It's been anywhere between light pink to brown to red, always changing and is mostly around when I wipe, never very much at a time. My period was suppose to start today but I have not been feeling crampy or have been breaking out like my normal period. Also my boobs were super sore when all this started but now they do not hurt what so ever. Does anyone know what could be happening? I'm so confused if I should take a test or if it would be a waste on my time...any help?
Re: Help. What is going on?!
If you think you may be pregnant then you should take a test. If you're concerned about wasting money then you could get a test at the dollar store for $1 or a First Signal brand test at Wal-Mart for about 88cents.
There isn't anything that we can tell you that would be more helpful/definitive than the answer a test can give you.
Also, I'm sorry for you loss.

I know I've had some cycles post loss with completely different PMS symptoms, longer luteal phases and all sorts of other strange things. I suppose it's probably just part of the body trying to re-balance hormones and establish a "new normal."
I would think that by now after a MC in July that your body would have had time to adjust. But everyone is different. And even without a loss periods and cycles are only regular until they're not. It isn't that uncommon to have a cycle where things are different.
If you're concerned about what is going on you could always ask your doctor.
Hopefully someone else can chime in and offer some more insight.

I agree with PP - take a cheap test if you're worried about wasting money - do you know when you last ovulated? If this is an anovulatory cycle it could be wonky relative to your ovulatory cycles... And knowing when you ovulated would give you insight into whether it is too early to test. If you continue to be worried, I'd go see your doctor.
I wish I could offer different advice, but one thing I've learned post MC is that there is no "normal" - I've never had really wonky cycles before my MC but that is because I was on BC for most of my life after puberty and don't remember much about my cycles before BC. Even if one of us had similar symptoms - that doesn't mean that the symptoms in 2 different people are caused by the same mechanism - so what may turn out to be nothing for one person may be something to follow up in another person. Without a medical degree, perhaps some specialization in residency and a more detailed medical history, perhaps with tests, there is nothing we can say that could take the place of your own doctor.

My point... I don't think anything is normal and at the same time, everything is normal in the few months after MC. I suspect I ovulated late this month which is why I'm now late. As PP suggested, perhaps anovulation?
But take a test of you're late. I know they can get expensive but you're not testing early.
Good luck.
