Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Sorry for the lack of update yesterday after my appointment ladies. It took longer than expected and then DH and I enjoyed a quiet night at home after. It was freaking amazing!! The 20 week wait was more than worth it to see the little bugger moving around on the screen, and then feeling it inside at the same time. We are so in love!! I definitely teared up a few times, and every time I looked over at DH he was smiling like a big cheesehead
Questions? Anyone else feel like the buddha bump is growing overnight?

I could not sleep last night. I was so uncomfortable & DH seemed to be louder than usual. I'm so tired now today. Also just feeling a lot of pressure. Looking forward to seeing the LO on Friday to see what's going on in there.

Oh man, I don't know. I'm really excited for our anatomy scan (& also slightly nervous, but in a good way) on Friday, & to reveal to our families if we're having a boy or a girl. DH wanted to do the balloons in a box to reveal, so I got that all organized on the weekend. Originally I didn't want to do any kind of big reveal...but now I'm really into it!

I started back to work this week full time again!! This is huge since I love working and I haven't been able to in almost 3 months due to severe HG. But it feels good to be able to drink water most days and actually drive to work. I know I'm so lame haha.
Also I cleaned the house pretty this weekend, and it feels so good to have things nice and organized! Lol
@mrsschmity that's so exciting to wait and find out!! Glad your appt went well! And YES it feels like I had hardly a bump and now I feel like yesterday it just all the sudden a belly!
@Grapes13 I live in Minnesota, so our winters seem to be never ending some years. I am more than ready for spring to come, but am embracing the mild winter we've had so far. And yay for going back to work!!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Sinus infection is clearing up! I can breathe! My appt went well yesterday and my cervix lengthened! Heartburn is getting bad.

@DeePaddy24 I saw you post a picture on a different thread (weekly randoms maybe?) and I meant to tell you how cute your reveal party looks! My family is too spread out to do that kind of party (plus we haven't decided if we want to know the sex) so I'm living vicariously through everyone else's parties! Gender aside, it's such a fun way to celebrate and honour the baby.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rave: My bowel habits seem back to normal! TMI (sorry) but I've always been very regular and have never had any digestive issues--first tri was miserable because I've never experienced that. So I'm happy to feel back to normal! I hope it lasts! Rant: Sleeping terribly and very low energy. I have gained a ton of weight this week. Yikes. I'm heavy to begin with, so my midwife is not going to be pleased.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating.
GTKY: This is hard, because I've been pretty lazy since I got pregnant. I may return to this thread with an update.

I think we decided on a baby transport system: infant seat (purchase larger later when needed), light stroller, jogging stroller, baby wrap and carrier. Not the most economical, but seems to make the most sense for our desired lifestyle on paper.

See Rave above. H is awesome. He worked from 7pm to 1230am last night finishing the paint on the kitchen boxes so we could scrub everything down tonight and use the kitchen again. He's working so hard trying to get things done so that we can focus on baby prep together. He's going to be a wonderful Dad

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: Can't sleep very well. I get uncomfortable in any one position for too long. This makes me very worried for 10-20 more weeks down the road! Rave: We are slowly chipping away at the baby's room. My dad is coming over tonight to help with a new closet system that I felt was necessary (and H did not, haha). Once that is in we can put the things we have accumulated so far into the closet and finally have room to assemble the crib and dresser. Symptoms: Lots of movement. Just paranoid about pre-term labour, so every regular symptom I have has been turned into panic about that. Feeling movement used to be really fun but now I'm like, "Hey! Settle down in there!" Baby's not even born and I'm already a buzzkill!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Feeling pretty good these days.....still have to brush immediately after eating due to taste in mouth. Hungry every 45 minutes! Baby girl is growing fast! Occasional RLP and back aches nothing major. Enjoying all the kicks and as well as other affections of love!!!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Preparing nursery. Crib up about as far as that goes...lol Oh yea....a million ideas on Pinterest. Too bad I just cant' control copy and control paste!!!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: Ugh, my a/s got cancelled b/c the office isn't opening until 10am today and my appt was at 8:45. I have to call to reschedule at 10 and I hope they can get me in this week! I was pretty upset. I get it, I guess, but it still sucks! I want to see this little nugget so bad! Rave: No work again today, which is good b/c I just saw that metro had 4 of the stations on my line closed (including the one I park at) and they are running shuttle bus service and it would have been a disaster. Get it together, Metro! Symptoms: stuffy/dry/bloody nose, RLP, and that's about it for now!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Cleaning the nursery some more, moved my clothes out yesterday, but what do I do with all of my shoes? haha. Since I'm off and have nothing else to do, finally doing registry stuff. Oh, also planning our last vacation and getting the plane and hotels booked today! We're going to Miami!
GTKY: Hmm...I got to the top level (100) in World of Warcraft yesterday on my character. Now there are just fun things to do and achievements to get. It's prepaid for 4 more months, so might as well! Wow, this is a really lame AW moment, haha.

What are you doing to prepare for baby? Started our registry!! Decided after much debate to go with the Uppa Baby Vista system... I was so torn because of the price but in reality it comes with so much and it can convert to a double down the line (we plan on having another baby in 2 years or so if all goes well) so I'm happy with my having made a decision!

@mrsschmitty I'm so happy to hear your update!! Wonderful news for a great scan (finally!!) and awesome that you were able to remain Team Green, that is my biggest fear at our A/S that the tech or doctor will slip & show us something or tell us what we don't want to know yet!
@DeePaddy24 the gender reveal is so cute! That is the only downside to being team green! There are so many cute gender reveal parties that I always envy!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Aches and pains all over. Also I have awful headaches. At least three a week. I forgot to ask my OB yesterday if it was normal. Nothing is touching them.
My OB is no longer going to deliver babies starting April 1. So my 32 weeks and after will have to be with a different OB in the practice. I've met two and one delivered my second son. I like her a lot so I'll probably change to her.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Making arrangements for the boys to share a room. DS1 needs a new bed, but since we want to get bunk beds in a few years I don't want to spend much on a regular twin now.
I've started a registry to keep my thoughts organized on the few things we need for baby, and a Pinterest board for her nursery.

Oh we did a gender reveal party! We face timed the grandmas and had our neighbors over. I set up a taco bar and drinks. It was a lot of fun! The only person to know baby's sex was my friend who did the balloons and picked up the cake!
This is the dresser! It needs new sliders for the bottom drawer. But pretty good deal for $20 I think.
I'm going to paint it navy. I haven't decided if navy all over. OR, paint it navy and the drawers white and then do jungle paw prints in navy on the dresser with a different animal tracking on each drawer. I don't want to get too themey in the nursery. If I do the paw prints and it sucks, I can just paint the drawers navy. Or when they are older and need a "grown up" room.

@crdo - Man do I feel you with the construction dust. I cleaned the house for like 5 hours on Sunday because of it. Every weekend it just reappears.
@catherinekate - I'm also gaining weight rapidly lately even though my eating hasn't changed *that* much...sometimes your body just does what it needs to do. Hugs.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: Trouble sleeping...my hips are really aching. Rave: My breakfast this morning (Eggs and potatoes with tons of ketchup) is so.freaking.tasty. Also, my co-worker gave me some of her maternity clothes!!!! 7 pairs of pants and 5 skirts!!! I had no maternity clothes (other than a belly band) and am so freaking happy!!!

What are you doing to prepare for baby? We picked out a crib at Target yesterday and will go pick it up today or tomorrow. Now considering buying an infant seat since the 2 I have my eye on are on sale at Target right now too.

This last weekend I finished my family photos project. I've been working on it (on and off) for the last year. I had boxes and boxes of loose photos from my childhood plus pictures from my parents childhoods and early adulthood to sort through. There were thousands of individual pictures and I looked through and organized every single one! I now have 4 photo albums that contain select pictures and 8 photo boxes of loose pictures that are organized chronologically (roughly). Everything is neatly labeled and stored nicely. It feels so good to be done with them!! As a reward we had pizza for dinner on Sunday.
@DeePaddy24 I haven't slept much the last few nights either. It's starting to take its toll. So annoying.

GTKY: Ooh! I convinced H to at least consider looking into getting a new car with 4 doors. We have a 2 door Jeep that I wanted so badly and then a month later I got KU. So he keeps telling me "you're the only person that gets exactly what they want and then doesn't want it anymore." I've had to put carseats in the back of it before, though and it took 2 people... one grabbing it from inside and one handing it from outside. Nope.

@catherinekate I gained 11 pounds between 16 and 20 week appointments and really didn't feel like I changed my diet. I have been the same, though, for the last week. It must just be something that surges. Don't worry too much.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Acne is not clearing up, but I don't have any other symptoms. I'm actually irrationally stressed for the a/s next week in case my lack of symptoms is a bad thing! I know that makes no sense. Rave: My back is finally not sore from shoveling. The snow has started to melt, so the roads are clear, and it's supposed to get to 45 degrees here! Make up your damn mind VA weather... I can't keep up! Rant: Roads are clear so I have to be back at work. PJs and naps were way better..."work from home", ha!
