Let me start by saying that I have not weighed myself. I don't own a scale and the one at the gym has disappeared. so I don't know if i have lost weight. I just think i have.
Also, if i weren't pregnant, I wouldn't be surprised that i have lost weight. I used to be really active and tapered off to a stop due to fertility treatments and IVF. I didn't start up again until about 12 weeks. I definitely gained weight during that time.
I'm now 20 weeks, back up to my "usual" (ish) level of activity by around 16 weeks after the holidays. I've also been eating a bit better. for me, healthy breeds healthy, sloth breeds sloth (i.e., if i'm not active, i devolve into binging on crappy food)
I wasn't trying to lose weight. I didn't even think i could!
Although i definitely have a bump, my pants are fitting better (my issues was thighs not waist), my arms seem more toned, and generally feeling a little more svelte in the last couple weeks. I thought it was all in my head until i realized I wasn't spilling out of my bras anymore.
I had my 2nd trimester ultrasound 2 weeks ago and I believe the baby was a bit oversized at this point. and my weight gain had been on the high side ( though hadn't changed a ton from my 12 week appt).
so i feel like i might just be back on track.. but i also don't know if it is dangerous to have actually lost weight.
thoughts?
is this something i should be calling the OB about?
Re: I think i might have LOST weight - should i be worried?
the dr wasn't too concerned.
It just seemed totally weird to go from gaining a ton of weight.. to maybe losing it.. just because i added back in an exercise routine? as long as it isn't bad for the baby i am thrilled. feeling a lot better about myself. not necessarily because i look any diffferent. just.. being active makes me happy and more confident in myself and my body.
I was down 10 pounds until I recently got my appetite back and stopped vomiting. I think right now I am down 3ish since finding out I was pregnant.
My MD's not worried, and neither am I

Keep eating healthy and exercising and drink plenty of water. Focus a lot on what your body needs and you should be good. Check in with your doctor to make sure there aren't any concerns.
