11 Weeks 2 Days Pregnant w/ 'Stiff Hips'?

My hips feel sore at times, and stiff. I try and stretch but they feel resistant. I haven't been able to do a light work out. I'm not heavy, actually I went from 147 at my 8 week appt and just weighed myself today and I'm 141.. so I don't know if weight has to do anything. Also the doctor said my "hips are narrow" just wondering if anyone has had any similar feelings or any stretches I can do to help loosen them up and ease the discomfort?

  • Your ligaments are loosening, it's normal especially as your pregnancy progresses for the hips to get even more uncomfortable.   Be sure you have a pregnancy or any pillow to prop between Your legs/knees at night when you sleep.  This seemed to help at least my night time discomfort.  Lots of tailor sitting, cat/cow stretches.   You tube pre-natal yoga, that will get you the stretches you need.

  • I started bleeding.
  • Oh no, get in to see your Dr. Bleeding can be common in pregnancy (I haemorrhaged with my first and she was fine!) but it still needs checking out. I have sore hips from time to time and as pp it's everything stretching and moving. Take care xx
  • They said baby looks fine but it's called a threatened miscarriage. On bedrest, bleeding is coming from outside where the baby is. We will see. Only time can tell.
  • Believe it or not I've had slight spotting today after work. I've spoken to Dr and they're not too worried, bringing my scan forward to Thursday tho so can do all screening at once. They think maybe from placenta, doesn't stop me panicking tho! I hemorrhaged with my little girl at almost the exact same time so trying to think positive. Keep your feet up xx

If it was spotting I wouldn't have been worried but it's exactly like a period, just gushes at a time. I didn't pass any clots or tissues so it's just a waiting game now. Calling my OB to see if I can get a follow up and on bed rest until/if it stops.
