I got a BFP in December that resulted in a CP, and for that one I just walked out of the bathroom and told him. This time around I wanted to do something a little more special. I got pacifiers and was planning on tying them to our dog's collars after DH went to bed (he works graveyard so he got home around 8am after I had tested). Well he decided he wasn't going to bed right away and offered to make me breakfast and asked what I wanted. I had been really wanting fried eggs for the past few days (I normally hate them) and told him that is what I wanted. He looked at me and asked if I was sick and I just blurted it out and said "no I'm pregnant". The shock on his face was so real, and he didn't believe me. He just kept saying "for real". I had to get the digi test and the Wondfo I took to prove it to him.
With DD I printed a photo of the test and framed it. He had been gone for a few weeks and it was father's day weekend so I had him open a present from our dog. Which was the test. this time...he was showering and I couldn't wait so I just jumped in with the test and showed him. Ha

I had a cp in December, and this month he knew I had been testing but was getting bfns. Wednesday I tested and got a positive, and I told him as we were lying in bed that night. His first response was "oh no! Now there's going to be two of them??" (Our son is a feisty child). I was pissed that he responded like kind of a douche. Then yesterday he asked me if I was still pregnant. Like I'd leave that out??
My husband had been on a hot chocolate kick at the time I got my BFP. I took an old coffee mug and a sharpie paint pen and wrote "Future Dad" on it. After dinner, I offered to make us some hot chocolate for the night, and served his in that mug. He took 2 sips before he even noticed anything was on the mug and said to me "did you write future on this mug? Weirdo." I told him to read the whole thing and he nearly flipped out and dropped the hot chocolate all over himself! It was super cute.

With DD, DH was napping on our couch after a long day of working. I left the paperwork from the hospital on our coffee table. He woke up and asked if everything was okay and I told him to read the first page, the nurse had written and circled "positive pregnancy test". With our 2nd BFP, I just ran into the bedroom and showed him the test. Sadly it ended in a miscarriage. With this pregnancy, I woke up before he did, tested and left the test on his dresser for him to find. He was excited but also nervous. His response was "I'm scared to get excited".
Nothing remotely special, and actually very similar to how I told him I was pregnant for DD.
Decided to test NYE because we bought a bottle of champagne. Fully expected it to be negative, but a very light positive showed on a blue dye test. He knew I was testing, so I told him about the line a soon as I was done, but I also told him that I didn't trust a blue dye test. Retested NY morning with a FRER. He came in the bathroom while the dye was moving through the test screen and tried to peek at it. After he left, I got another faint positive on it. So I came out and told him it was positive. His response was, "Okay." He wasn't quite as ready for #2 as I was, and it happened fast.
With my first bfp I tested first thing in the morning and when it came up positive I went back to the bed and hugged DH and said "good morning daddy" he kinda blinked at me cause he wasn't fully awake then it hit him and he was like "really!?!?" Unfortunately that one ended in a mmc at 12w. I had a couple more losses last year and I didn't really do anything special with those.
This time I wasn't really planning on testing unless AF didn't show but DH said something about when I was supposed to start and got me thinking about it so the day before AF probably should have been due I ended up testing spur of the moment when I woke up at 4:20am needing to pee. I sat there in the bathroom thinking I must be hallucinating because there was a faint second line and I didn't believe my (half-asleep) eyes. I took a picture thinking I would have proof later that I want dreaming it up. Later when we were up and getting breakfast and everything I gave DH a big hug and whispered in his ear "I've got a fish in my belly" (a play on our last name). I showed him the picture and told him about my half sleeping delirious thoughts.
I called him on the phone. It went like this. Me: DH are you sitting down? DH:Yes why Me: I'm pregnant! DH: Umm let me call you right back (He was in the middle of getting his ass chewed at work) lol
With DD I found out close to DHs birthday so I put inna gift bag and gave it to him. This time I just bolted out of the bathroom yelling were pregnant. He knew I was testing this time.
I took a wondfo test on a Saturday morning and got a very faint positive. So I took a digital test to confirm, but it malfunctioned and just showed the clock forever. So I packed up the toddler and picked up some breakfast and bought an armful of expensive pregnancy tests. I took a first response and got a positive. Then I brought LO#1 into the room with a sibling shirt on. And we all are breakfast. The end.
@KimmySchmidt - I would call them and let them know you had a faulty test. They were super generous when it happened to me. However, you may want to let them know that you are pregnant and coupons for additional pee sticks may not be helpful at this point of your life. Unless you're going to try for #3 in the future, I think they have some lengthy expiration dates. Wow just got wayyyy ahead of myself there, but just tryna help a momma out:)
I got the positive in the morning. Went to Barnes and Noble, bought a Daddy book, and had made a onesie previously stating 'Cutest fan of <our fav NFL team>. I wrapped them both together in Christmas paper and when he got home and asked what that was I noted it was a delayed Christmas present (we found out 1/6). He opened it and was shocked and excited.
After getting a super squinter on a Wondfo and then a very light line on a FRER I was still thinking are these lines? H was getting ready and called him in the bedroom and asked if he saw it. He said he thought so but let's not get our hopes up. So of course I ran out and got a digi that minute and he actually say the +yes first. Not a cute story but us.
Well... We had just gotten back from a friends football game watching party in which our team lost spectacularly. And also our friend announced she was pregnant. I was a few days late and I knew it was a possibility, but DH wanted me to wait to test until I came back from a work trip, or about a week and a half past my missed period. Well since my friend announced her pregnancy, I just could not wait a second longer and picked up a clearblue at the grocery store (I prefer FRER, but they were really expensive that day for some reason). I took the test and walked out of the bathroom with a huge shit-eating grin on my face and was like "the time hasn't passed yet, but I think it's positive" and then I showed it to him and he was like "you should take another test on Friday when you get back" and then I was like "No, look, it's really positive, it's not even faint or anything" and he was like "well I don't know what to tell you, just take another one later..." and I'm like wah?! Granted he was really, really hungover (since our team lost and he was crushing beers like crazy at the party). Not exactly a sweet story. It wasn't until I got back from my trip that it really sunk in and he was like "Oh, you're pregnant!" such a weirdo.
**Loss mentioned** For my first BFP, I took the test when he was at golf and told him not to dilly dally on his way home (since he tends to do so). He walked in the door and said "You're pregnant, aren't you?" So I didn't really get to tell him on that one.
